  • Opua is a small cottage featuring a double and a single bed in open plan with full oven kitchen. French doors open on to decks on two sides overlooking the garden and forest stream. The private bathroom sits on the side deck.
    Opua shares the access car park and garden grounds with The Innlet apartments and farmhouse villa.
    The shared garden space includes stream side bbq.

Great central location for Farewell Spit Exploring

We loved The Innlet, friendly relaxed host, great location to reach loads of birdwatching opportunities in the area. Very comfortable, clean, quiet and cosy. Highly recommended.

Amazing escape

Beautiful cabin to stay in. Very natural. Owners very friendly. Very tranquil with amazing gardens and creek. Lots of native birds. Great bbq area.

We stayed here over 20 years ago and have dreamed of coming back ever since. We did, and it was as perfect as we remember. So much so, we extended our stay two extra nights. Thanks, Katie & Jonathan, for making the dream come true.

Lovely little cottage

Lovely serene bush surroundings. (Take a torch if you arrive at night!) Great base to explore Farewell Spit and Golden Bay. Comfortable and clean, nicely equipped.Great communication from the host, thank you.

Was a bit tricky to find the cottage, the number was not visible at all because of a post in front of it.The shower was only hot for a very short moment, maybe a minute max, then suddenly freezing! Apart from that...Very nice and clean, private and quiet. comfortable beds. No tv or radio which didnt bother us. Fresh Flowers in vases and Cookies in the tin were nice touches.

Would be great if the Opua cottage had a booklet for all thing's in the cabin Would be good if less cluttered one queen size bed only.Wi-fi Oven use function Etc.Supply tea towels otherwise

Fern Retreat

This DEAREST little cottage is situated on the side of a stream nestled in amongst Punga Fern bush, so wonderfully private. Freshly crafted hard wood windows, ceiling, floors and veranda makes it my favorite NZ retreat. Spotlessly clean.

Great spot, very serene setting

Lovely wooden cottage, fully equipped with a sunny deck overlooking a pretty river - very private and easy to come and go as we liked. Loved the extra details too - the forest walk was especially nice and the homegrown lettuce on the steps made us feel at home! Our hosts were warm and friendly too, recommend!

Awesome little cottage in amazing location

We had a fantastic stay at Opua cottage and we wished we could have stayed for longer. The location was great for lots of different outdoor activities and the cottage was tucked away in a private and beautiful secluded garden setting. Stunning scenery and an awesome spot for a holiday.
