I was a bit surprised by the deposit we needed to leave at check in. It was $100 but will be refunded at check out. The bathroom doesn’t have a night light and the toilet paper is farther away from the toilet than we would like. But overall we enjoyed our stay in a nice hotel!

I will say the beds were clean so that is a plus, but that bathroom had dirty rags and towels hanging from the shower when we checked in. The towels didn't look clean. Super convenient to the Gateway Convention center and close to several restaurants. Front desk staff were very kind. After you start going down the hallway it smelled odd. Once we got into our room it had the same smell as the hall. Assumed it was just cleaners. The ac filter caused the room to smell TERRIBLE, it smelled like the filter hadn’t been changed in a couple years. The bedding on both beds also had some very weird questionable spots on them. It severed its purpose as a place to lay our heads.

The deodorizer is very strong in the lobby. We encountered another La Quinta that used a heavy deodorizer. I am allergic to fragrance. I can smell it in our room. I turned the air conditioning to help. This is a band aide. This is an overnight stay so we stayed. The last time we were able to open a window. Not this time.

Cleanliness and sanitation is everything to me!!! There was long hair in the sheets and hair on the bathroom sink!! The bathroom was not sanitized and clean at all!!! There were feces splats up under the toilet rim. I was very disgusted and felt very unclean!!! Luckily I had brought my own sanitation products!! Doors were slamming all night, cell phones ringing, just too freakin noisy!! Plus they charge you a $100 deposit instead of just putting a hold on the card and they don’t rush to refund your deposit either!! I will never stay at this hotel again!!!

Had to switch from the first floor room which had dirty walls, bedding, doors and headboards to a third floor room which was just a little better. The chairs in both rooms were covered in stains.

Do not stay here. This hotel tried to charged me an extra $25 for pet fee and also tried to charge me extra $125 for deposit. My experience with the deposit based on 100s of hotel stays over the years, the deposit shows up as pending on my credit card then just goes away when I check out. The fee actually never goes through, however, for this hotel it did go through. I called the hotel and they said it will take 3-5 business day for the refund, I’m still waiting for it, hopefully I get it. As for the pet fee, it took me 30 mins conversation when I checked out to get it off. I was there only 1 night and pet fee is $25/night and they charged me $50. Again, I still don’t see the refund for the $25.

Overall good except the free breakfast...
Overall everything was good, nothing to write home about but beds were clean, bathroom was clean, could use some dusting as there was quite a bit of dust on things. Only thing I would say that needs work is their free breakfast, we were there two nights but went out and got food for the second day because it wasn't worth it.

Hotels.com operation is terrible. They don’t communicate with the properties they allegedly represent. If they did they would know that I canceled my duplicate reservation at La Quinta Collinsville for 12/19/24 last week while I stayed at the property. I was unable to get my prepaid money back from Hotels.com nor La Quinta because of their lack of communication, poor customer service, and bad business practices. I would advise avoiding Hotels.com

The staff was the absolute worse. When we checked in to start our vacation it took an hour to even get checked in because the guy at the desk was to worried about his phone and then they tried to tell me I havent paid for my room and tried to charge me multiple times when i had the receipt saying my room was paid for way in advance. Then saturday night when he got back to our hotel at 1am after a day at Dirt Nationals we found my sister and her fiances stuff packed in boxes in the lobby. They had kicked her out of her room with NO WARNING. They called her at 9am that morning and asked if they were checking out today or staying another day. They said that they are staying another day and will be checking out Sunday. They said ok. We left the hotel at 1pm to get lunch and head to the dome. We walked right passed the front desk where they were all standing and not a word was said about not being checked out or anything. They smiled and said "have fun".

I apologize for the misunderstanding you had during your stay. Your reservation was prepaid through Expedia and Expedia's card for payment was declining. That took about 15-20 minutes to check in as per our records. And the front desk person was using his cell phone to figure out with the manager. As mentioned your sister's stuff was packed in boxes because it was their checkout date. The front desk informed them around checkout that it was their departure date and they needed to checkout as we were sold and didn't have more rooms, to which guests replied that they had reservations and they would stop at the desk to pay. After checking the system and not finding the reservation, we called the room and found out they had all left by noon. We called their phone and left a voicemail and didn't hear anything from the guest. Since other guests were about to check in, we had to empty the room for another guest. Your reservation was for 4 nights and your sister's reservation was for only 3 nights. And not all the hotel staff recognize the guests personally. Since our front desk person changes during different shifts. Our all staff will be greeting all the guests as a sign of politeness.Thank you for your stay.
