Only got myself a small room, but it was very well situated near the main train station. There are some great restaurants nearby and it's a brief stroll to the cathedral. Breakfast was a treat, classic german-style buffet with eggs cooked to order.

I love staying at this location! The staff was fantastic and the breakfasts were wonderful! The room was cosine clean and the bathroom was great although I wish the showerhead was a little higher quality. Overall, I thought it was a great experience and I would stay here again.

Location is excellent. Within a very short walk to the station and all the sights. Spacious room with private bathroom and kitchenette. Downside is there is no lift in the building. We would however stay there again.

Fantastic service and kind staff! Good and varied breakfast. Central location by the main station, but a bit dodgy area at night. Funky coloured room - mine was all red and black - which was not my taste.

Hot night in Koln

It was very hot during our stay in Koln - over 38C. There was no air-conditioning and no lift. so getting up the stairs to the unit was a challenge. There was a fan which operated all night and the window was wide open - noise was less of a problem than heat. The hotel was well located near the Central Station, which was important as we were travelling by train. The station also provided access to some shopping for drinks etc. The main shopping centre was within walking distance.

The hotel is in a great location, block and a half from the central train station (Hauptbonhof), and the Cathedral. We had a studio apartment. The staff was incredible. The breakfast was fantastic, with outstanding and I mean outstanding, service. The desk staff were very helpful in giving directions and printing tickets to events that we purchased online. We would stay there again without question.

Good option in a perfect location

The hotel was in a perfect location, just a few minute walk from the Dom. Simple, but very clean with good beds. Staff should be specially mentioned (reception, breakfast room) as it was superb, very helpful and delivered the best service ever! Very good breakfast: layout, choice, very good coffee. Can not fault it in any way. To be mentioned, that the reception and the breakfast room is in a sister hotel on the same road (1min walk). The check-in late at night can be that bit trickier (reception closed) and you will need to walk down the road for the breakfast.

Nicely presented accommodation. Good breakfast and effificent and friendly staff. Good location. 5 mins by foot from main station. Quiet street. Old property and not sound proof inside so there is noise coming from floorboards etc. I wasn't aware I needed to check in at a different property. It may have been in an email from the accommodation but any correspondance I received was in German which I don't understand. Checking in meant keying in a 10 digit code to a door pad which is fine but there was no light in the hall and I couldn't see the door key pad. The number was too long for me to remember and light with my phone's torch. This was very frustrating as the check in process became very drawn out.

I stayed here over Gamescom. It was clean, but as with many hotels in Cologne, it is small rooms, and hot without any air condition. Breakfast was decent, service good, but overall way to expensive for what it is. But so are most places in Cologne during the Gamescom week.

Staff friendly and professional. Great breakfasts. Location good for centre of Cologne (although walking through train station at night not particularly pleasant). Annex room dark, tv not working properly (stuck on one channel), toilet continued to flush all night. We asked ot be moved to main part of hotel which was much nicer.
