Cheap, clean, friendly and great location

This is a simple but pleasant place to stay. My room was very clean and was cleaned nicely each day. There was tea making facilities, a small fridge and 24 hours of hot water. The staff are friendly and helpful. Next door is a very cheap and easy place to get snack, tea and coffee. Literally round the corner is a bigger more comprehensive place to eat and down the road a few metres is a well stocked supermarket. Across Galle Road (3 minutes walk) is Marino Mall with a great little tea and cake shop, a coffee shop, ice cream place, plenty of choices for eating and a bar too. The bus stop is outside Marino Mall and is super cheap and fast into the centre of the city for just SK Rs 20/-. If you don’t expect too much in terms of facilities or luxury this is a clean and comfortable place to stay in a good location. Not suitable for people who cannot manage stairs.

Moyen

Helhelts upplevelse bra, frukost mindre bra

I arrived at 1:00 am. Nobody was at the reception, all staff was sleeping . I woke them up, they didn't know anything about my booking then they started to make calls until they find it. The room was not clean enough, a lot of dusts were in the corners TV was without sound, for this reason i complain and nobody give any response. the only advantages I found that the bed was comfortable and the place was good in the city.

We stayed here because it was cheap and we only needed a place for about 6 hours. The tv didn't work, the A/C was very weak, we were only able to cool down by turning the ceiling fan on high and laying on the bed directly under it. There were tiny bugs all over the small table next to the door. Unfortunately we didn't notice until a few hours after we put some of our bags on it. There was also a larger bug in the shower who ran away once the water was turned on. The towels were thin and stained. We left before breakfast, so I can't speak to that. The employees were helpful, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great value!

This is a great little guest house. It's very basic, and the room was not cleaned in the week I stayed there, but it's amazing value for money, and a superb location. I'll stay there again.

Nice hotel - some hidden fees

Stay was very comfortable. I needed the location as I was staying on a business trip. The only downside was that when I needed to leave a day earlier a refund was not possible as per the booking agreement, which is reasonable. There was also a 25$ early check in fee that was not stated anywhere on the website... we got in to Colombo about 5 hours earlier than planned and ended up basically paying for an extra night. I wish this was stated on the website as well.

Cheap and handy, you get what you pay for.

The room smelled a bit damp which you got used to. Biggest negative point for me was that the person at the reception spoke nearly no English whatsoever and wasn't able to respond to any queries.

Transport vers aéroport 25 dollars US.

Good value for a very nice room

Very good value for money. The room (don't know if they all look the same, this was the best version of rooms I guess) was very well equipped and fresh. Just as good, or better, than the far more costly rooms at the bigger hotels. Nice and friendly staff. Very nice to have a room with a balcony btw.
