We stayed for two nights. ALL of the staff are BRILLIANT and looked after us really well. The room was spacious and the rain-shower incredible… probably the best I’ve had. The on-site Indian restaurant was excellent as was breakfast. Easy to walk around the area and just 5 minutes to Park Street for loads of good dining options. Wholeheartedly recommend Taj Samudra. Great place to stay

Stay at the hotel was comfortable, clean, and carefree. The staff service was great, the food options were amazing. For someone looking to understand how far the oceanfront rooms were from the ocean, please know that there were other buildings and a road in front; the pictures on the hotel website are taken from a different angle.

Nice people (staff) and nice hotel. Friendly design, classic with comfortable beds, good water pressure and efficient climate - control. Ocean views are nice and with great 180 degrees perspective. Excellent short break with my wife . As a regular to Taj properties in India , there is a standard of quality of service and property which is maintained across properties how ever old that property may be . Loved their Japanese restaurant and Navarathna was serving excellent Indian food . Overall very satisfying . 👍

Taj Samudra had incredible hospitality and really elevated rooms. The fact they have reusable bottle program shows that they care for the environment and want to be sustainable. Also it’s right across the water, so you can do a quick walk by the sea any time. The buffet food was good, not exceptional especially the vegetarian options were mediocre at best. Although the stand alone restaurant Navratna had smashing food.

when walking to our room we can smell smoking, when asked we were told that room with balcony is a smoking room, But we can see someone sitting inside the room and smoking, also one gentleman smoking on the corridor. Bath tub is moldy. We paid for room with ocean facing but we were given a room where there is a building blocking the view, There are not chest of drawers in the room. We liked the breakfast and dinner buffet very much. Staff is very nice

Taj - as always, never disappoints.

I’ve stayed in many Taj properties over the years and there’s a reason I keep coming back. The team at Taj Samudra were always attentive and on point during my stay. No matter the late arrival hour (past midnight), or looking for a restaurant, they were always ready to assist. The property is starting to show its age, but this is beyond staff control. I’d encourage the owners to spend a little to spruce up the property a little especially as it has such a beautiful frontage to the sea! Thank you, Taj Samudra team, for a wonderful experience.
