I like the hotel it provided a much needed atmosphere of relaxation. However on Super Bowl Sunday I left the bar to return to my room to finish watching the. only to discover my television wasn't working and there was no maintance on site. Only the front desk lady and the bartender w was on the property i had to get dressed and be relocated so missed the half time show as well as some plays.

We had one hour to check in and get ready to meet friends downtown for dinner and a show. Once we finally got our room (they had to “clean” our room knowing I had a a reservation for that day), we discovered that the mattress on the sleeper sofa had significant traces of blood splatter on it. It looked like a crime scene. The head house keeper was supposed to come check this and sent 2 housekeepers instead. They were actually got flip the blood stained mattress and put bedding on it. We stopped them abruptly. There was a grape and dirty fork in the bar sink in our suite. Supposedly, they were fully booked, but had another room that one of could have had. That did not make sense if they were at capacity. I had made my reservation about 2 weeks ago. That room was utterly unacceptable for anyone to stay in. Fortunately, they secured a room at the hotel next door for us. With all of the changes, we were late to dinner with our friends which was extremely stressful. Aloft is supposed to be an upscale hotel and this one in particular reminded me of a brothel! Thoroughly disgusted and disappointed by the accommodations there.

Hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice. The staff was friendly but did not confront noisy guests. The first night, guest were partying on the entire second floor until 3am and then a couple was screaming at each other around 5am until 7am. Next night, a different couple was in the hallways yelling at each other from around 4am-6am. ….staff never said anything to these guests. Wouldn’t recommend if you actually want to sleep.

I would have been happy with my stay, but during my search on Expedia I specifically looked for hotels without an added pet fee. Sure enough upon check in, there is a $50 pet fee after all. Very disappointing.

Entrance smelled everyday like pot, so did hallways. Not sure how often management checks this hotel but it was not good. Music in Lobby and elevator loud like a club! Hotel was out of hand soap! Had to ask for towels and cups. Nice hotel but management needs to step up!

What I liked about Aloft was the decor and that restaurants and stores are in close proximity. As for staff, there were only 2 that were friendly and how you are received and treated leaves an impression, from the time you walk in until the time you leave. The room was ok. The lighting was rather dim. I did however like the black out shade. I felt like I just spent money for a room but didn't have an experience where I would recommend family or friends to stay. There were other things that turned me off and I just find it unfortunate that I feel this way about my stay. Unfortunately, I can't see myself booking with this hotel again. This was my personal experience.
