  • Enjoy your stay in Columbia in this cozy guest house overlooking Cary Lake! It is centrally located in Arcadia Lakes, 10 minutes from downtown, USC, and Fort Jackson. You’ll be close to everything in the capital, but far enough to enjoy a relaxing trip. Awake refreshed and ready for a day exploring the city via this clean, sunshine filled home with an impressive view. Cook in your own kitchen, clean up in the remodeled bathroom, and sink into the soft bed after seeing the city.

Perfect Little Getaway

We had a short stay here to attend a concert at township auditorium and this was the perfect place with a great atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our stay and have nothing but good things to say about the host. The house was centrally located which reduced travel time to all events. The house itself was really nice, clean and very comfortable; however, the deck was not inviting or clean. For me this prevented a 5 star. The outer deck was covered with pine cones and needles, that I cleaned up. The enclosed area had a dirty ashtray sitting on the table and vines are tearing up the screens allowing for mosquitoes to get in. The couch on the deck had a very unappealing cushion. Ultimately it was the enclosed deck overlooking the water that lured us to place but we ended up not using as much because it just wasn’t comfortable. One item of note the drive way is very hidden. I would recommend a newer brighter mailbox with number clearly visible since we drove past the driveway a couple of times.

We had an amazing stay on the lake. The house is cute, relaxing, and quiet. Check-in and out were simple.Suggestions for improvement: better marked house number on the street as the directions provided in the check-in email were not helpful at night; fix the front porch light; lighting on guest driveway.

Fort Jackson graduation stay

We wanted a restful place close to Fort Jackson for my son's graduation and this was perfect. It was at most 15 minutes away and a perfect place to come back to with our other adult son to relax after busy days. Our hosts gave us our space but were easily accessible.
