Excellent View

Our recent stay in Lake Como was truly delightful. The property boasted an absolutely excellent view, which we enjoyed immensely from the quiet and spacious balcony. The detailed check-in information provided was greatly appreciated and made for a seamless arrival with no issues whatsoever. While the road leading to the property wasn't ideal for walking, the stunning vistas more than made up for it. Plus, the convenience of being just a short stroll from the town core was a huge bonus.

Let's start with good. The view of the lake was breathtaking! The apartment was large. Now for the not so good. The location, although only about a 15 min walk to edge of town, the first 10 of it was terrifying! The road was narrow and had no sidewalks. It was a very busy road from early morning to late night. The self check in process was confusing and misinformed. It involved a mailbox, a lock box which we tried several times to unlock but was told to open the wrong box. three different keys to three different doors which were not marked on a key chain with 5 keys? The middle door was very difficult to unlock and the light in the hallway was not working so made it even worse. Upon entering the apartment is was clean, large but somewhat stuffy. No AC, no screens on the windows so no fresh air. The only fan provided was a tiny table top fan. Most of the "shades" of you can call them that, we're not working or broken or both. The washer and dryer were both broken. Two of the main reasons we chose this place was that it was close to the train station and had a washer and dryer as we are at the end of our Italy trip and needed clean clothes. Yes it was close to train station but we already talked about the road. The shower was hands down the smallest shower we have ever experienced. I am only 5'8", 165lbs and it was too small for me! No one ever showed up to fix anything. We very much enjoyed Lake Como but was very disappointed in the apartment.
