Super villa in a great location. The house was spotlessly clean with excellent facilities and beautiful views, plus the amenities of Cómpeta are only a few minutes drive away. If you want to relax or use the villa as a base to explore the area further then this property offers the best of both worlds. Mercedes gave excellent communication throughout and is always available if needed, we would definitely stay here again.

Villa views over Competa

Great views of Competa. Close location to village. NB: main road is quite a steep in areas as would be expected in the mountains- dirt road to house for a short distance and then a steep driveway. Villa design and space layout good ample space. Good solid doors, locks secure windows good range of outside lights. A few recommendations: Furniture: review/invests in some new equipment quality furniture in and outside villa. Living room coffee table falling apart, previously repaired with tape peeling veneer. Various light bulbs interior rooms not working. Outside; sun-bed broken and fabric materials stretched. Outside table and chairs; seating fabric is worn out/torn some chairs becoming unusable to sit on. Heavy duty steel umbrella stand - rusty at base of stem corroded through and will not take any type of strain. Other old umbrella worn out damaged not suitable. Various bits of broken or damaged furniture in garden example; wooden seating bench, broken should be removed or replaced. Suggest Handbook: develop a Villa Handbook /How To Guide for properties . Update Listing on website: some pics on website do not match; eg kitchen worktop/kettle different to cheaper fixture and fittings that are in place currently. Mercedes and the family are really lovely happy to provide anything needed, e.g I asked for a blender Mercedes brought 2 options for me quick to supply a new sun umbrella and repair a sun cover damaged by winds. Very quick to reply. magnificent Mountain View

A nice house in a somewhat remote location

The house is spacious and well equipped. There is a large plot around the house. The view on the valley and the town of Competa is very nice. However Competa is too far away for a walk to the village. The last part of the drive is somewhat challenging with a larger car.

Spacious, comfortable villa with great outdoor space and fantastic views.

We had a great week. The villa was very clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. Outdoors there were several places to relax (including a roof terrace) all of which had truly lovely views across the valley to Competa and far beyond. The pool was a fine size and clean. As is not unusual in this area the end of the access road is not tarred so has to be taken slowly and carefully but you get used to it and the drive to lovely Competa takes about 5mins. Mercedes, who responded very quickly to our communications before visiting, was a very friendly and welcoming host. It was lovely!

Nice country side villa

Good size country house for a family of 4-6. Clean and Nice. The villa has a Nice view overlooking Competa and The Maroma mountain. The pool was nice too and there is a bbq area on the covered terrace. It fulfilled our expectations. Only little minus is the plot is a bit north/east facing which gives leas sun in the Winther month (I guess it’s a plus in the summer)) Communication went very smooth and Mercedes was very kind and help some. Can o my recommend this house. Thanks.

Schöne, ruhig gelegene Finca mit toller Aussicht.

Schöne Finca. Die Lage ist etwas abseits. Ein Geländetaugliches Fahrzeug ist doch sehr sinnvoll. Für die Mühen entschädigt aber die tolle Aussicht. Die zimmer und die ganze Finca waren so wie Sie beschrieben wurde. Der Urlaub war sehr erholsam.

Large and comfortable vacation house that you can treat as your home for the stay. Whilst not perfect, but then what home is, it's in good location, not too far from town and a pleasant and quick drive to beaches and inland wonders.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mercedes is an excellent host. The villa is well equipped inside and outside. The children loved the pool which although not large was deep enough and big enough to thoroughly enjoy. The terrace area is excellent with panoramic views. The villa is situated just outside Competa so a car is still required. For those exploring the mountains on foot it is ideally positioned to gain access to some of the more remote areas. We would visit again.

A really great villa with stunning views

We enjoyed a relaxing 2 weeks late September into early October at Mirador de Competa. The villa was very well equipped, had everything that we required and it was a nice touch that there was bottled water and a good stock of toilet rolls and cleaning products when we arrived. We have stayed in numerous villas in Spain and this was probably the cleanest and best maintained of them all. The pool was a little on the cool side, but we could expect no different at this time of year. The barbeque was terrific and between dining alfresco and the numerous restaurants in the area we ate exceptionally well Competa is one of our favourite areas and when returning to the area we will definitely look to book the villa again. Mercedes tries very hard with her English, which is far better than our Spanish. Sue and Phil East

Phantastisch und sehr ruhig

Der Ausblick ist in Wirklichkeit noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos! Es war Erholung pur! Wir hatten dieses Haus mit 5 Personen für 2 Wochen gemietet und haben es keinen Moment bereut. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet, was benötigt wird. In der Küche findet man neben allen Küchengeräten auch eine gut funktionierende Waschmaschine, einen Geschirrspüler sowie ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck. Alles haben wir so vorgefunden, wie es auf den Fotos dargestellt ist. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren ausreichend vorhanden. Der Außengrill war in Dauereinsatz und der Pool wurde regelmäßig 3x pro Woche gereinigt. Allerdings braucht man unbedingt ein Auto. In Cómpeta gibt es genügend Restaurants, drei kleine Supermärkte und andere Einkaufmöglickeiten. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die wunderbare Sonnenterrasse, auf der man schon beim Frühstück den traumhaften Blick auf Cómpeta und die Umgebung genießen kann. Der Kontakt mit Mercedes und Miguel war von Anfang an außerordentlich freundlich, jedoch nur in Englisch. Aufgrund unserer Anreise an einem Sonntag haben die Beiden sogar unsere Einkaufsliste abgearbeitet, somit war der Kühlschrank bereits bei der Anreise gefüllt. Vielen Dank noch einmal für die tolle Zeit und das leckere Gastgeschenk. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Grüße von Gabi, Anett, Dieter, Fred und Markus

Fantastic holiday rental

Second time in competa this year and this villa did not disappoint . Views looking over the mountains and town of competa where stunning .we have stayed in competa for the last 3 years an have not been disappointed on any of our visits .This villa was by far the best ,it was spotless ,everything is just as pictured on the photos on homeaway holiday site .Mercedes an Miguel where very helpful and a lovely couple .Fantastic holiday eating out every night at the wonderful restaraunts El Pilon ,El Cortijo Paco ,Oscar's .
