“The property was spacious, clean, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Skagit River from the back porch and family room area. We used the home as a base for driving into the North Cascades National Park and doing day hikes. “We just wanted a quiet get away for a couple of days close to the North Cascades. We had hoped to see the fall foliage but it turned out we came a couple weeks early for the best of that. We stopped by the ranger station there in Darrington, and then drove up to Rockport and on to Newhalem to see what fall leaves we could. The cabin was quiet, clean and cozy. We loved sitting in the hot tub on the back deck and also sitting beside the Sauk River in the back of the property.”
