We really liked our stay at Masseria Montepaolo. We got to stay at the 2 bedroom apartment which is separte of the hotel in an old casttle looking building, which made our experience more private, we loved it. Its a real italian experience to stay at this masseria. Breakfast was good. The apartment was super clean and good AC. Pool was good to get a splash after a warm day. The only bad thing I can tell is that our room was not ready at check in time. Other than that 100% recommended. Great quality value

Disappointing stay. The staff were unhelpful, the amenities are outdated, and the hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed for three nights in a quadruple room as a family of 4. Room and bathroom were ok, airconditioning (which was welcome during a heatwave), shower was a bit small and dated but otherwise the bathroom was spacious. The grounds were fantastic: lovely garden with comfortable seating, pool and sun beds. They have their own restaurants on site with seating in the garden and the food was amazing - lots of seafood, hand made pasta dishes and pizza from their own pizza oven. It was so good that we ate there all three nights! Breakfast was good too, plenty of homemade cakes and tasty pastries. The masseria is only a 15 min drive from Polignano a mare and Monopoli, 30 mins from Alberobello, so ideal to explore the area.

Overall, I was quite disappointed with our stay. Our room was located in a separate building, which actually requires a car to access, meaning we missed out on many of the amenities and facilities you would normally expect from staying at a hotel. This was not clearly advertised anywhere, and we would not have booked had we known this in advance. The swimming pool was also much smaller than I expected. Unfortunately, the food was not great either, with a limited menu, and the waiter was unable to provide information about the ingredients in the dishes. The service in general was quite poor. I was also disappointed with the breakfast, which mainly consisted of sweet items, with very limited options for a more traditional continental breakfast.

Saverio , Top. A proposito, Sig. Grazie a tutti, Giovanni e famiglia.
