It was a very clean, well stocked cottage. Loved it!! Only complaint was that the neighbors two houses away had a very loud party Sat night until 2:30 am. Very hard to sleep. No fault of the VRBO!

Great place to stay!

We had a family gathering at Castaway Cottage. The house was very clean, had plenty of room for the eight of us, and was located near everything on our list. Our main objective was to see the USS Lexington which was an easy 30 minute drive away. The kids enjoyed the pool, the Gulf beaches (again just a short drive) and riding their skates and skooters around the complex. Thank you for making our time away from home so comfortable! We would book again!

Just wow

sadly, our stay got cut short due to numerous tornado warnings and flooding. The managers of the unit would not give us a refund for the time we were told to leave due to a tornado hitting land. I have been going back and forth about their always changing ‘policy’s’. I think yall at Vrbo should take another look at Vacasa and their properties. If you’re considering a Vacasa rental DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. If you’re forced out by the national weather service they won’t care. They only care about no vacancy. Not your safety.

Location is great!

Great place, nicely furnished! Grill isn't in good shape so keep that in mind. Would have like to help out upon exit but there was no laundry soap for us to start sheets. We love the location right by the marina!

Property was clean, however low on bath towels, bath washcloths and no kitchen towels. Called and asked for more but housekeeping never responded and provided.

The house is adorable and clean. Bring your own wash rags, as the house was only stocked with one. We had to buy some locally. Bring your own washing detergent. The pool was dirty two days we were there, but was cleaned the last day we were there and were able to enjoy it. I would stay here again! House is conveniently located to Aransas pass and Rockport.

What we were hoping for

Great amenities and accommodation in a beautiful area with a beautiful home. A nice duck pond out back. A distant view of the ocean on the horizon. Quaint and cozy and well located. We enjoyed being able to park underneath. We enjoyed the bunk beds for the kids (and we have 4 under the age of 7). It was overall comfortable and beautiful and there was a nice pool and playground maybe 75 yards walking that was also great for kids.

Great place! Great location for a fishing/boating weekend!

Great place and a great location between Rockport and Aransas Pass. Very nice and clean little neighborhood with a pool. Parking for the boat and truck under the house. Only thing missing is an outlet downstairs to plug in the boat.
