Long weekend

We were looking for an easy place to stay in Corpus Christi to get away for Mothers Day weekend. This property was quiet and easy to find, right on the water. It was exactly what we needed, and would recommend to anyone looking for a home base for their trip.

Perfect location

We loved the property, views and location. The location is perfect for boating, kayaking and fishing from the varied piers. The property offered great views of the sunrise and the restaurants just over the bridge offered great views of the sunset. It was a quick drive to PINS, Texas State Aquarium and other attractions that my teens thoroughly enjoyed. Would absolutely stay again!

Unit was beautiful and clean. We stayed at this location on a cross country trip. Corpus was not one of our favorite stops. Unit itself not near a beach and not a great place to walk the dog. Process of getting in and out of the unit was great.

Really cute

This house was really cute, super clean, and came with all the little necessities like laundry detergent, dish detergent, kitchen sponge, bathroom supplies. Also left a little goodie bag that was fun. Only downside has nothing to do with the property but the location. Strong sulfur smell coming off of the Gulf on the road to the house.

Due to the AC not working, we (my family included a teen, an 80 year old and a dog!) actually stayed in Rosate Spoonbill a few houses down. The manager was very responsive and accommodating and we couldn't be happier with the place ( which was spotless and had everything we needed), the neighborhood, the proximity to the bay. Would definitely rent from Avantstay again.

Nice!!!… But

The Management Company is not transparent with the booking process. When booking with VRBO, the full rental price is transacted by your bank, but AvantStay does not accept the payment from VRBO. You then get txt messages asking you to pay again. This process is very unclear upfront, almost seems like a scam. Had to go thru the process of having funds released from the bank, etc etc etc. While no fault of the owners, don’t expect to enjoy evenings on the patio. The rotting sea grass is unbearable, at least during the summer months. Everything about the house is great except the master bed and pillows. It’s well furnished, towels, and amenities were great.The last thing was the trickery with the listing photos. While yes, you are ‘waterfront’ don’t expect to access the water. There is rubble, trash, and a fence. It’s not accessible. Then again with the smell associated with the rotting sea grass, wouldn’t want to access the water regardless. All that said it was fine, we only slept there and spent our time at Padre.
