This is a classic luxury hotel. I can't imagine the amount of time and energy it takes to upkeep this property. But they somehow manage to maintain a spotless, manicured and warm environment. The room was quite large and rich in design. The restaurant and the staff who work there are excellent. I was here for some mother/daughter time and we loved making this our base to visit the surrounding towns. Timeless elegance!

I stayed at Villa di Piazzano for two nights and overall had a lovely experience. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff were warm, professional, and very attentive, which set a great tone from the start. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful grounds and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a true Tuscan escape. I booked the Suite Garden, which was comfortable, with a very clean and modern bathroom. However, I think the room could benefit from a few updates—particularly the bed, which wasn’t the most comfortable, and the closet, which unfortunately had a bit of an old, musty smell. Due to the weather and timing of my stay, I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool, though it looked wonderful—I really wished I could have taken advantage of it. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming compared to the setting, and I didn’t have the opportunity to try the restaurant, so I can’t comment on that part of the experience. Overall, Villa di Piazzano is a stunning property with excellent staff and great potential. With a few updates to the rooms and an improved breakfast, it would be truly exceptional.

Este hotel es excepcionalmente bello, unico y perfecto para unas vacaciones en la Toscana. La propiedad esta impecable al igual que las habitaciones, super limpias, cómodas y A/C super fuerte (no muy comunes en Europa) Staff fue muy amable y la cena espectacular. Es un deleite caminar la propiedad. Literalmente en cada metro puede tomarte una foto de ensueños. Recomendamos este hotel 200%. Esta a solo minutos de Cortona una linda ciudad para visitar. Villa de Piazzano te dejara en shock con su belleza desde que vienes por la carretera entre una hilera interminable de pinos cipreses. Simplemente Stunning.

Villa Di Piazzano is a wonderful place in all ways. From the fantastic staff who does everything in their power to make the stay pleasant, wonderful and comfortable. Our recent 4 night stay at Villa di Piazzano was truly perfect in every way! Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary could not have been more enjoyed! Having booked our stay 6 mos in advance - I communicated many times via email during that time, seeking itinerary advice from the Conceirge. I always received very fast responses with creative ideas for our schedule that ended up proving most enjoyable. Cortona is a short, 10 minute drive away. Our arrival day was a dream, as we drove up the cypress lined drive which gave the feeling of arriving a royal residence! We were warmly greeted and instantly felt that our arrival was anticipated by the staff. We bonded very quickly with several of the team during our stay and experienced their excellent and warm hospitality. Our room, Luna Piena, proved to be absolutely perfect! Spotlessly clean and most roomy. We especially loved the bath area and roomy shower. Our room was accurately historical with every modern convenience. We enjoyed opening the windows each cool morning and loved listening to the birds sing. The property grounds were stunning! So much detail and care! The maintenance/gardening crew should be awarded! Amazing! We enjoyed wandering around the gardens and admiring all the flowers and plants! The swimming pool was crystal clear and the perfect temperature! Restaurant food was OUTSTANDING! I’m not sure how another resort hotel ANYWHERE in Tuscany region could top the experience we enjoyed at Villa di Piazzano!

Villa di Piazzano – A Culinary and Countryside Dream Come True Villa di Piazzano was the undeniable highlight of our Tuscany trip — and quite possibly the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. The property itself is stunning: a beautifully preserved historic estate set in the peaceful hills near Cortona, surrounded by gardens, vineyards, and the golden light of the Tuscan countryside. But what truly set this place apart — what made it unforgettable — was the food. We were treated to an extraordinary culinary journey: over 19 exquisite courses, each one more delicious and artfully presented than the last. Every dish felt like a masterpiece — bold in flavor, flawless in technique, and crafted with the kind of passion you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The chef didn’t just cook — they told a story with each plate. The restaurant staff went above and beyond, especially the manager, who made us feel like honored guests every time we sat down to dine. Every detail — from wine pairings to plating — was perfect. It was, hands down, the best food we had in all of Europe. Villa di Piazzano is more than just a luxurious stay — it’s a destination for food lovers, a place where elegance, tranquility, and world-class cuisine come together in perfect harmony. We’ll remember this place — and the flavors — for the rest of our lives. For anyone seeking authentic Tuscan charm, gourmet excellence, and a truly special escape: this is it. Five stars. 10/10.
