"Room was lovely and clean comfortable bed Bar not open Kate but great service earlier in the night Breakfast very good had continental and it was filling lots of toast and pastries when requested more"

"Excellent location, right on the main shopping road, near to most of the City attractions. 15 ish minute walk to the racecourse. Grand entrance and reception. Room was a little tired, but it was clean and suited me for one night. Excellent breakfast."

"Opposite the rail station, which was good for us as we were travelling by train. Clean and comfortable hotel which is on the Hop On Hop Off bus route for easy access to the city. Our room was clean and comfortable with an excellent shower and nice toiletries. Staff were very accomodating and friendly. There was a bit of a faff as to whether we could eat off the bar menu in the restaurant in the evening and we were kept waiting for a while, but eventually we were told we could. All in all it was a good stay. The only downside for us is that we would have liked to sit in the lounge and read, but there is music playing everywhere and raher loud corporate people discussing their work, which we found bohersome. However, we are old and crotchety so maybe it was just us. We would stay here again though."

"We was made welcome on arrival and allowed to park up free at lunchtime as we were going to the races. Checked in later and again greeted with a smile. The room was adequate though my impression is that it needs updating and modernising as does the whole building. Short walk to the city centre with many pubs and restaurants on the way. We only stayed one night but would stay again when visiting Chester."

"Hadn't stayed here in a few year - i now remember why. Very average breakfast and walls must be paper thin to hear neighbour snoring. Staff lovely though!"

"Rooms were nice and were clean. Only negatives were 1) there's not really a desk in the room . Only a round stool with no back on it so difficult if you're using the hotel for business. 2) There were no vegan main meals on the menu which is disappointing."

"The hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff were very all very helpful and welcoming. Dinner was exceptional, it was hot tasty and you got a decent plate of food rather than a taster of food. The pool and gym amenities were a great addition to the stay. With the hotel only 10 minutes from Chester Zoo it was a great place to stop to be able to spend the day there and then the pool, hot tub and sauna were great to rest the legs after a long day of walking. Definitely recommend staying here."
