“The location to town, parking and check in were easy. Helen, the duty manager, was really accommodating and responded promptly when we needed to make a room adjustment.
The premium double was relatively small, more suited for single travellers or those staying a night, 2 maximum and plan on spending most of their time out and about. The pillows were too soft but personal preference perhaps. A fridge, microwave and cutlery were provided for basic self catering requirements.

“6 nuits passées à cet endroit mais pa eu de changements se serviettes ou de nouveaux sachets de café. Pas très importants, j'aurais dû demander.
La chambre était très petite (j'étais seul). Demander le avant de réserver.

“Overall we had a good, comfortable stay. The lodge felt clean ( although a couple of towels and the bedding in the main bedroom smelt mildly of damp). The kitchen was well equipped and the shower was lovely and strong.

“Our cottage was beautiful, but we likely wouldn’t ever return. We were only there for 8 hours, so I’m not sure how many things didn’t work but I’d assume it was quite a lot. We struggled to work the shower for about 30 minutes. We tried calling the front desk, but no one ever answered so my husband had to drive down there. “We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.”
