「We had the pleasure of visiting Mafeking in early December for a weekend getaway to the Kent countryside. The cottage was perfect - warm and cosy and a short drive from Leeds Castle and the vineyards at Chapel Downs for an amazing lunch. At night we walked up the road to the local pub for a great dinner then returned to Mafeking for an evening in front of the fire. Just sublime. 」

「Escaping to the country has never been more fun and magical. The resident robin and all his many friends keep you in that chilled mindset. The town of Rye was 10 mins by car and full of historical charm. It was even being used for filming while we visited. We walked from Rye to Camber sands along the cycle path and there are frequent buses back. 」

「Wasn’t sure when we arrived as outside of caravan could have done with a jet wash. Inside though was lovely we couldn’t fault it at all. Some reviews have mentioned the garden not being secure but we had no problems at all. The park itself is very very hilly but beautifully kept. The club house was very clean and all the staff we met were very friendly. One small niggle - we didn’t realise it had limited Wi-Fi and would have been happy to pay a charge for extra Wi-Fi. Overall a lovely time was...

「This was a place that was very well cared for. the owner was more than a hostess, she was cordially very willing to do anything possible to make the stay as pleasant as possible. I stayed here for several months due to work. My husband and children came at weekends to accompany me. This was such a relaxing environment to refuel and have quality time with the family. 「A perfect weekend escape pad. Superbly cosy shepherds hut. Absolutely loved the outside kitchen… even though it rained relentlessly on the night of our stay the kitchen and outdoor dining was such fun. Kitchen kit was plentiful and well thought out.. shame it wasn’t fire pit weather! However, we had the best time and look forward to returning before too long.. thank you for a great weekend stay.」
