"We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "

"We had a really good stay. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need. Our son really enjoyed the garden, in particular the Wendy House which was also kitted out with toys, which was a lovely bonus. The village is peaceful but perfect for a nice walk. We would thoroughly recommend the property and would stay again. "

"A 5 minutes walk from the Shambles makes this hotel a quiet haven away from the usual York crowds. The downside is it's a little further to walk from the railway station (20 minutes) but you can use the bus to make that journey The staff are super friendly and helpful. The common areas are clean and tidy. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean with a great view of the Minister. I loved the automatic light under the bed which saved fumbling for the light switch. The only niggle was the chair was a little out of proportion to the room size and I kept bumping into it. Overall, highly recommended and I will certainly be staying here again. "
