"If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest."

"The potting shed is definitely a hidden gem, its little but had everything we needed, it was spotless with a lovely garden for our dog to explore. The twin baths outside were a really nice way to unwind after a day sightseeing and there’s plenty of dog friendly restaurants locally. "We book the Majestic for one night as they had over 8+ on Expedia. Well, we arrived at reception. All went well until we were told the lift is out of action and being repaired. Which we later found out is the same story they have been telling guests for months. The very small room was embarrassing. A hole in the wall, electric socket not working, disgusting unwashed curtains, peeling paint everywhere, cracked sink, mould all over the shower head, broken wardrobe. The only plus was the bed...

"It's a wonderful hotel right opposite the pier. Great staff and room. They can do more with front entrance as that is what's letting it down, very bland and soulless."
