Owner was very friendly and helpful. Great location - especially if you're into mountain biking. The Waverly Bar and Restaurant down the street is excellent. The town is a former coal town with a number of quaint shops, a work in progress. Bathrooms are shared. The common room and kitchen are excellent.

Such a unique experience! This is NOT your typical hostel. The place oozes charm and comfort. The common areas are spacious and welcoming. The bathrooms are clean. The sleeping spaces are simple without sacrificing comfort and privacy. On my return I will stay longer.

The Riding fool was perfect for our little family! Comfy beds, very clean facilities, great smelling towels and soaps in the washrooms, excellent common room with games and pool table, great place to meet people…and a place to store and fix our bikes to to it off! Common kitchen area with everything. And in central Cumberland where we could walk to everything. We will definitely be back! But for longer:) Thank you so much!!
