"My family enjoyed our stay at this BW. The staff was so friendly, and the lobby had homey touches like kids’ books that we could borrow for our stay. The room and beds were clean, I appreciated that there were no carpets in the room and there were bedbug-proof mattress protectors. The breakfast was what one would expect from a hotel. My one complaint was that the 3rd floor hallway smelled of cigarettes, and the smell would occasionally come into our room."

"This is an older property that received a makeover/reboot in the last decade. It has plenty of charm, including staff, though it might not seem as modernized as some might prefer. Regardless of all that, there are two major draws here: if you like the cocktail hour or if you happen to be a lap swimmer, this place is a standout. The pool is especially impressive, and attracts swimmers from the area. The scene in the evening was quite lively. The “morning after” scene was a relative letdown: it appears to have been a business decision not to do much more than coffee in the lobby, which seemed a shame. Also, although there appear to be breakfast options nearby, there wasn’t a very viable way to reach them on foot. Still a pleasant surprise overall."

"The Spark is in most ways a pretty standard corporate hotel on the west side of Cleveland. However, a few things make this property stand out, especially for dog owners. We were greeted by Eula at the front desk who could not have been more helpful and nice. She had a treat bag for each of our dogs and was at the ready to help us sort out all of the details of our stay. If only all hotel employees were like her! The other thing which makes Spark stand out is that it has a completely enclosed/secure dog run in the central courtyard of the hotel. Well-maintained, clean grass with a ready bin for poo bags made this an off leash eden for our pups. We can't imagine staying anywhere else when we're in the area with our dogs. There's also a nice steakhouse right next door and a Shell station with a full convenience store just a few yards from the front door. All of these things combined to make it an easy place to stay plus the added bonus of being doggy heaven."
