「The staff was not present and there was no bell to announce your presence as a customer. Eventually he appeared and gave me a key. The place smelt of smoke. The room was nice and quaint and even had a stove. But later after inspection there was no remote + no hand soap. We had to get those at the front desk. Other than that the stay was fine. 「Staff were nice. Overall, the hotel was not clean. Booked it for 2 days and stayed for 1 1/2 hour and checked out. Floor, walls, sofa, bathroom, and bedroom were all dirty and looked nothing like the pictures posted. Please update the pictures because that’s false advertisement! Will not be returning. 」

「I love the concept of Eric's Retreat! The property manager was very helpful and was relatively quick to respond. The only issue I had was the smell of our room. It smelled like overripe oranges and was cloying. I also found a reddish brown tadpole bug in the bathroom. When I alerted the management about it, they said they would be on the look out as they cleaned the room. The bed was very comfortable. This was very close to many places we wanted to go to in this area. 」
