Quaint Cottage

So relaxing
I came to Dallas to meet a sister I’d never met before (we found each other through DNA testing). Because I was nervous and not sure we would hit it off, I looked for a place that would be quiet and serene and comfortable enough to enjoy being by myself should she not be available often. This little cottage captivated me with its blue tiles, white claw foot tub and cozy seating areas and was just what I needed. I absolutely loved staying there. I was pleasantly surprised by being greeted with a Welcome sign and bouquets of fresh roses! It was the perfect place to stay alone. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Oh, and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were so kind and welcoming and very accessible when I had a question. P.S. My sister and I ended up seeing each other every day and the friendship we’d begun through emails and texts deepened easily, so I didn’t end up being solitary very long.

Lovely place with lovely hosts. They were quick to help out when we could not figure out how to work things. Quiet and quaint property. Local church bells periodically ringing were pleasant in our opinion. Ideal location for our needs.

Quiet oasis
The place was great! The pool was inviting on a hot summer day. My husband and I enjoyed our time of solitude for our anniversary. The hosts are very responsive and generous. The kitchen is well stocked if you decide to cook. It was inviting - a home away from home.

Perfectly Relaxing
I felt my stress melt away as soon as I walked in the door. Such a lovely, perfect little place for a relaxing getaway. I enjoyed sleeping in, taking naps, floating in the pool, and my evenings at nearby Shakespeare in the Park. Such wonderful hosts looking after every detail to make you feel like a treasured guest. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. Until next time.....

This is everything it promises to be. From the welcome sign when you walk in the door to all the fixings for mini waffles, these hosts make you feel welcome! The kitchen was well equipped, and there were plenty of towels to use at the pool. Small, but oh, so nice!

The Glory on earth
Where can I start ??? It’s a lot to say about this beautiful, cozy, clean, friendly place. The owners are amazing, sweet, caring, supportive and responsible. The pictures doesn’t make justices to the place. They welcome you with fresh beautiful roses and a beautiful sign with our names. They are very respectful and kind. The places has absolutely everything as I was at home, laundry, soap, coffee maker and capsules for it. Theta have a lot of information to have a blast in Dallas!!! Definitely our spot for next trip to Dallas … Infinite grateful to Jackie and Ted, we send you tons of blessings and wishing you great success in life 🙏

Sometimes, a cute little space is all you need!
This place was amazing. The little home looked so cute and quaint. The design and decoration is perfect and we loved it. We decided to skip a day at the zoo to just "chill" at the house for the majority of the day. We felt at home and cared for with everything we needed. The pool and hot tub certainly helped that! The hosts are very nice and helpful with getting everything together and they make sure you have everything needed. Great experience. We just might use this place from now on for our Dallas trips!

Great Stay
We were in town for a MLB game over weekend. This cute cottage fit our needs and was the perfect spot to enjoy our getaway. Jackie and Ted were great hosts and responded promptly with any questions we had. We only wish the weather allowed us to enjoy the pool.

A Cozy Cottage For a Extended Stay
Jackie and Ted were wonderful to work with. The cottage is clean, cute, quiet, and private. Thoughtful touches welcome you: fresh flowers, water, coffee, the ingredients for your first breakfast. Bed was comfortable and pool was very clean and nice. You’ll truly enjoy renting from this couple!

Lovely cottage getaway
We were looking for a home base while visiting family on a working vacation and Jackie and Ted's place went above and beyond. The set-up gives you maximum privacy with your own secure access to the property from the street behind the house. The pool is beautiful and a big plus in the heat of summer. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure excellent. AC and fan kept us cool. Linens and towels were good quality and the kitchen had all the basics. Wi-Fi worked well for many hours of video conferencing. The loft set up was perfect for yoga and working. The ladder up is very stable so it was easy to use. It's a lovely welcoming space. It felt very homey. Jackie and Ted have an eye for all the right details. Enjoy!

Wow!
Wow. To sum up our stay, we'd have to say wow. What an amazing, relaxing, and rejuvenating stay here at this home. Hosts were kind, communicative, and quick with any concerns we had. CLEANNNN. The pool was simply amazing. It sits at the back of the home and to the side of the private getaway. There are windows that look in to the back of the home without blinds but they’re in an empty room that we never saw anyone access while we were in the pool. Also, the best part of this stay was local food spots! Try Tanya's for breakfast. Would stay again for sure. Give them a try.

Thank you! We just remodeled Jackie’s office at the back of the house. It does overlook the pool. We have not purchased the window coverings yet. We try to avoid that room if we know guests are in the pool. So glad you loved your stay.

Lovely Airy Cottage with great amenities
We really enjoyed our stay in this very cute, clean, well designed cottage equipped with everything you would possibly need. The cottage is exactly like it is pictured with very nice finishes. The extra amenities such as coffee & bottled water were much appreciated. The private guest parking & pool area were a real bonus!! The hosts were very easy to communicate with & were really mindful of our privacy during our stay. Will definitely return if our travels bring us to the area again. Great Location
We've stayed here in the past, but just for a long weekend. This time we were in town for 2 weeks and really had time to explore downtown Garland. Many nice places to eat within walking distance. Also took the light rail to downtown Dallas on several occasions. Ted and Jackie are the most gracious of hosts we've met in our VRBO travels.

Dallas Cowboys weekend
My son & I had an Awesome weekend seeing The Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. I’ve been plenty of times but it was his 1st. The property was very nice & Ted’s communication was on point & was quick to reply when messaged. Overall, the rental experience went well but we were a bit disappointed at checkout. We found out that our flight was delayed & asked Ted if we could stay for a few hours longer before going to the airport. He said that it couldn’t be done because he had to have the place cleaned for the next rental. It was Monday & sounded as if the next renter would be arriving later that day. Unfortunately, Ted later said that for an extra $100 we could stay the few hours & that “it was just business”. I guess that I was just hoping for a little Southern Hospitality which has been the norm whenever visiting the Dallas area.

Loved our guests. We are, however, a business. We provide a great place to stay and have hours posted for a reason. We must be able to schedule our cleaning and prep. We hope Donald will come again.

Great stay in Garland
This property was a great place to relax during our tour of the great state of Texas. Once the sliding gate closed it gave a sense of privacy and seclusion. Parking is perfect for one car. The pool was a welcome amenity and was a great way to recharge. The owners were very sweet and accommodating. Thank you!

Dallas Trip
We loved staying at this property. The cottage is exactly as shown in the pictures. Beautiful finishes on everything with a great blend of antique and Modern styles. The downtown Garland area is just about a mile away with fabulous restaurants, breweries, and shops. The DART system to get downtown Dallas is only a couple miles away. We will stay here again if ever in the area!

We had a lovely time on the property. Owners are very kind and communicated well. It was nice to speak to them while in common areas! The area is wonderful, less than a mile away from wonderful restaurants and sights.

Had a girls weekend by the pool and could not have picked a better place. The property is adorable, clean, easy to find and with great amenities. The hosts are just as sweet as can be, making sure we were comfortable and catered to any need. We loved meeting them.
