Perfect Property
The lodge was perfect for an outdoor family like us with dogs. Location is quite remote but that's what we like. We'd advise going stocked up with food and drink before going. there is a pub within walking distance with pub food and a great pool table. Meals were after 6pm. The lodge was very comfortable with everything you need. Having the sauna was fantastic especially after a long day out. There is a lot do do around the area but do expect to drive here and there. Check in and communication was really easy. Kristine the host is very helpful. Whether you like going out on walks, canoeing, wild swimming of just staying in by the wood burner with a good film, this lodge will cater for you. We would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Perfect Christmas get away
Fantastic lodge close to Loch Awe, stayed for Christmas week, and it was wet and cold outside but warm and cosy inside. Loads of eating, drinking, reading and playing board games by the log burner. Very well equipped lodge, properly supplied with the little things like dishwasher tablets and toilet roll! Kids (adult kids) enjoyed the sauna. We even had a 24 hour power outage due to storm Gerrit, but it didn’t matter as we were warm by the fire and had plenty of candles, plus the Christmas dinner leftovers! Perfect stay. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Fantastic Retreat
Love Love Love this place. This was our second visit here. If you want to get away from it all, relax, do some walks and see fantastic scenery than this is the place. Thos time we had lots of beautiful wildlife in the garden including a big halk, red squirrel, Pine Marten oh and a heard of sheep lol. Recommend Inveraray for sites and little town with pubs and cafes(11 miles away). Oban bugger town is about 30 mikes away, again very nice. There is a hotel down the road tou can get some beer and food, alittle basic but nice and cosy. Kris the host is brilliant, communication is perfect. Highly recommend this perfect little retreat. Definitely will be staying again. Dave

Sehr verstaubtes, aber dennoch charmantes Häuschen.
Das Haus müsste mal gründlich gefegt und entstaubt werden. Auch die Sauna konnte nicht genutzt werden, da sie für unser Empfinden zu schmutzig war, ansonsten fanden wir alles vor wie beschrieben. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, die Vermieterin sehr freundlich und an Ausstattung hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Dalriada Lodge
We had a great week at Dalriada Lodge and were very satisfied. Even when we had some rainy days we enjoyed the entire environment, had different trips by foot, car and boat / ferry and visited some spectacular places. Beautiful lodge in a great setting
We love the lodge. The surrounding area is beautiful. The decor is very pleasing and interesting. We appreciated how well equipped it was with everything we needed, including the lovely wine glasses. The sauna is first class. We would be delighted to return.

Very good overall, well-equipped and comfortable. One minor suggestion would be stronger lighting in the lounge as we found it difficult to read in the evenings. Nice place to stay though, particularly enjoyed watching the red squirrels and the birds in the garden.

A bit disappointing.
Unfortunately the property is in serious need of some love and attention on the exterior. It was very run down looking and to be honest a bit off putting on arrival. Also there was only one light on the outside which made it difficult to find our dogs in the garden at night. There was a disused pond which needs filled in as could be dangerous to children.

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the exterior of our property and our one acre woodland garden. To be honest, we were also very disappointed with how dirty and damaged you left the interior. As regards the outside lights, of which there are actually several, we wouldn’t even attempt to disrupt wildlife with lighting covering the whole garden. Perhaps you need to work on your dogs recall? Lastly, the tiny little pond beside the house is covered in wire netting for safety and is far from disused. It is full of frogs and newts and children love it.

Perfect escape from modern bustle
We had a great time staying here with friends and our 3 dogs. The house / cabin is beautiful both inside and out and really spacious. Everything we wanted was provided. It poured with rain all week so was hard to explore the garden much but the stream running through it is gorgeous. The sauna is good fun and well explained. The area is amazing, plenty to see and visit and a few distilleries for day trips (Oban, Tobermoray on Mull, Springbank and Glen Scotia in Campbeltown). Only slight complaint was that the internet was at best slow and often stopped altogether... but actually that's not such a bad thing when in every other sense you're enjoying being so far away from modern life!! Would 100% stay here again.

Fantastic Retreat
Just returned from a week's break in this fantastic cabin. From the moment you walk in you get that wow factor. It has everything you need and when that log fire is going with a whisky or 5, the time just gets better. There is a small hotel with a local bar just across the road. There is a lovely little town Inveraray just 20 minutes away, that has some restaurants to eat and nice views. Oban is bigger, but 40 minutes away. A walk to the dam is worth a trip. Definitely recommend this place and can't wait to visit again.

Fantastic, well-equipped cabin
Dalriada lodge is a wonderful place to get away from everyday life. Stunning location, minutes from Loch Awe (which you can see from the living room). The large garden with woodland and private section of stream make the cabin feel remote while it is still very accessible. We were pleasantly surprised by how warm the cabin was. Lots of birds visited the feeders in the garden. Probably the most well-equppied property I've ever stayed at!

Dalriada was the perfect place to stay for our two week trip to Scotland. It was a 10 minute walk to Loch Awe, with views of the Loch from the house. We were also lucky enough to see the red squirrels in the garden. Really didn't want to leave

Everything you need, well equipped, spacious, clean, abundance of birds and mammals to see in the grounds. Games, books, table tennis, darts, swing, all undercover to entertain all ages, BBQ with seating and table on patio with view to loch Awe and a sauna, fab week that went far to quick.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Dalriada Lodge war wunderschön. Das Haus ist großzügig und bietet alles, was einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt angenehm macht. Great stay at Dalraida Lodge
W head a great sunny week on Loch Awe. Hired a boat (available for local residents only) and moored at Innishail Island where the Campbell Clan are buried. Loved the Inveraray Highland games too. Climbed Ben Cruachan which was a worthy challenge. Lots to see and do in the area and a great spacious place to come back and relax in.

We had a fabulous week in this well-equipped log cabin. It’s situated in a beautiful and tranquil spot, very calming. The external shots of the property don’t do it justice, internally it’s spacious and well looked after. A great base for exploring this part of West Scotland. On our list to return to.

A peaceful and relaxing stay
The lodge was very well equipped to a high standard and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the garden. It was lovely sitting indoors on a very wet week watching such a wide variety of birds feeding at the bird feeders. One consolation for the wet weather was the wonderful sound of the stream flowing down through the garden. We loved our stay and hope to return as it’s such a beautiful area.

Wonderful property and location
The images of this property do not do it justice, it is a million times better. Plenty of room for 4 adults and being all on one floor was perfect for my wife who has limited mobility. The games area was fun and the garden beautiful with loads of lovely plants and wildlife to observe and photograph. The bench by the stream was a delight for resting a while and contemplating. The house is brilliantly equipped, I don’t think we could think of anything that was missing. The area around the Loch is outstanding with the Castle well worth a visit and the drive around very picturesque. We had one clear night when the stars were amazing and with no light pollution the Milky Way was clearly visible. We visited Oban, Fort William and kayaked on Loch Lomond. The highlight was spotting Minke Whales and Porpoises on a Sea Safari off the West Coast. A fantastic holiday made by the house and its surrounding.

Fantastic log cabin, wonderful gardens, thoughtful owners
We had the most fantastic week at the log cabin making memories with our family. It is so well thought out, equipped and the owners are very considerate of what people really need to make their life easier. It made it so much easier, a home from home. The garden is fantastic, our family loved the wildlife and feeding the birds and pine Martins. We made good use of the table tennis, darts and swing too. And of course the sauna was a lovely relaxing way to end the day once the kids were asleep. The stream and bridges are wonderfully exciting especially for our 6yr old and 18month old, this made it even more of an adventure. We will definitely be rebooking and would recommend to anyone wanting to go off grid and ditch the mobile to choose this lodge.

Nice lodge lovely location
Nice relaxing lodge off the beaten track. Patio for sitting out and using the BBQ provided. Red squirrels and birds at the eating stations out the window. Also saw what we think was a woodpecker in the garden! Lovely log fire, comfy sitting area and comfy beds. Watch out for the Scottish midge as can be out all day in among the greenery and down by the water!

Fabulous property
Fantastic location with views over Loch Awe and a garden teeming with wildlife. The photos really don't do the house justice. Two hotels within walking distance serving food and drinks. The Ben Cruachan Inn in Loch Awe itself has wonderful food. Our only criticism is the steep driveway up to the house is in desperate need of repair and some would struggle depending on their car. We loved our stay: beautiful sunshine; red squirrels and a great house - what more could you want?

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge. It was very well equipped and surpassed expectations. The lodge was comfortable and clean. The garden in particular was amazing, we saw red squirrels every day and there is a lovely stream in the garden.

Wonderful lodge
We absolutely loved staying at Dalriada! We stayed for 2 weeks with our 18 month old who has a passion for throwing stones and being outside and so this property couldn't have been better. There is a stream and small pool at the bottom of the woodland area, perfect for paddling and throwing stones. The lodge stayed wonderfully warm and had everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised with how toddler proof everything was and felt at home straight away. After a day of running after a busy toddler, the sauna was the perfect nightly ritual, and the log stove was a real treat. 10mins or so down the lane is the Loch, where you can swim or throw more stones! And the surrounding area is beautiful. We will definitely return, that's for sure!

This was our second holiday at Dalriada Lodge. The accommodation is to an excellent standard, with wonderful gardens, and well located for visiting Oban, Inveraray and nearby islands including Mull, Seil and Kerrera.

Despite issues with Covid the propery owner was extremely accommodating. The location is nice and the property was well prepared for our arrival. If you are going to stay there make sure that you have your wellies with you as the garden is beautiful but the moss holds the water well. However if you will end up wet the fireplace was very efficient :)

Wonderful lodge and location
Dalriada lodge is simply the best place we have stayed. We no longer have passports as we travel great Britain for our breaks and the British isles can match the best in both scenery and habitat. This lodge is perfect in location with beautiful views. The lodge owner has made it a luxury place to stay. We loved all the wildlife visiting the garden and all the brilliant class things the lodge has to offer. I do hope this review encourages people to book (although not when we rebook!) As this is simply superb and we have stayed in many throughout the UK in all countries so we feel qualified to give this lodge a very good truthful review. Hope you enjoy as much as we did Steve Pennington my wife Diane and our happy plummer terrier Arnie.

Loch Awe Escape
Fantastic location, peaceful and a great escape whilst within range of great places to visit. Property could be described as quirky but you would know that from the details - and it is good quirky! Bigger than it looks and kitted out with all you need. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
