“Gondwana offers a fantastic experience for anyone looking for a short Safari within the confines of a private game concession. There is a diverse array of animals to view in amongst beautiful scenery despite being close to Mossel Bay. Our accommodation went way beyond our expectations - a huge 3 bedroom lodge all to ourselves. We loved the 15+ minute self drive to get there! “Betty’s Boutique is a lovely building with quirky rooms and several communal areas to sit, including two bars and a lovely garden. We stayed in the Spa room which was nicely decorated and comfortable with a big bath & separate shower. The room had all the necessary amenities and was spotlessly clean. Marcia gave us a warm welcome on arrival and showed us around. We decided after a long drive to stay in for dinner and had the lasagna & garlic bread which was delicious. “We initially felt unsafe here . This was probably not a fair assessment- it was based on how we felt that day . We did leave the hotel to stay somewhere else as I was feeling anxious. We return the next morning abd the staff had been really worried about us . They had explained that security was very high . We were taken about about how much they cared . “Great location & A great host Unfortunately there is no air con and the heat at night made it very difficult to sleep at night. The bedroom we had was small. The other 2 larger bedrooms had sliding doors on to a balcony,which you could leave open at night for some air flow. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs in total 1x double-1 x twin smaller rooms with little air flow. 2x larger rooms with sliding doors to balconies Great breakfast too. ”
