Unit needs a few upgrades such as kitchen remodel & faucets upgraded. Lost power in foyer & bathroom last night we were there, emailed host & never heard anything but checked out the next morning anyway so wasn't a big deal..

Musky smell, no laundry basket, no rug on bathroom floor. When I mentioned there was no bathroom rug I was told to use one of the bath towels... The trash can was dirty with no lid to cover the trash, the overhead light in the room was out and I could barely see in the kitchen area. When i mentioned it, a dirty small lamp was left on the table which did not make any difference. Apart frm that it was ok.not make a difference with the lighting.

Loved the view from my room!

The room was a good fit for just me staying there. The kitchen sink is tiny, and no oven, so don’t plan on making full meals here. The proximity of the room to the beach and the pool was perfect for me. The pool is large and I never had a problem finding a pool chair to lounge in. The floors needed some attention, but everything else was clean and ready to use.

Adult size room with a child size bed

The bed was way too small for 2 grown adults and the bedding was very cheap. The condo is big enough for a king size bed yet there is a full size in it. After a long day on the beach it would have been nice to enjoy a good nights rest, but that was impossible in that child size bed. We had stayed in that condo prior to the hurricanes and were excited to book again. It was so disappointing that we cancelled our next booking for this condo.😢

Disappointing

The pictures and ad for the VRBO were misleading, stating a newly renovated room. The only thing new in the room was the furniture. The room could have been cleaner. The bed comforter needed to be washed; there were leftover kitchen spots and dust. Also, the dishes and coffee pot provided were unclean. I spent the first-hour cleaning and sweeping the room. Aside from the sand, the floor was dirty and needed sweeping. We received minimal linens, which didn't cover the family, and all the towels, but two were unclean in the bathroom. The welcome email noted that two space heaters would be provided; there were no heaters, and the weather was cold and rainy. I followed the procedure outlined in the welcome email and messaged maintenance with my concerns. I received extra sheets and a blanket the next day but no clean towels or heater. I went back and forth with the maintenance over email, requesting clean towels and a heater. At one point, I was reminded there was a laundry onsite, implying I could wash the towels myself. We were in the room minimally, so I didn't have time to wash towels that should have been provided to me to clean in the first place. Finally, two days before we left, I got a heater and clean towels. Unfortunately, email is the only way of contact, so I was at the mercy of their response, and it was clear my concerns were not a priority. Overall, the room and service provided were very disappointing.

Unexpected painting

We received an email Saturday September 16 at 2:11pm stating the sliding glass door was replaced and touch up paint was done to the walls Friday and that morning. We arrived at 4:00pm checkin time and the painters were still there. They were there until 7:00 pm. No fault to them they were doing what they were asked to do by management and Hawaiian inn. Plus there were paint fumes that evening and night. Also the tub had sand in it and not cleaned. After a 7 hour drive wasn’t coming on vacation to expect that checkin. After that day vacation was nice and we had fun. but communication was lacking. Maintenance Management reached out to me on Monday and was very professional and helped correct the situation. I have stayed at Hawaiian Inn several times using Vrbo this was the first unpleasant experience.

Horrible experience

To make a very long story short. 10 minutes upon arrival and sending my kids to the bathroom after a long drive the toilet flooded. Not only did it flood the bathroom it flooded into the hallway and all the towels in the bathroom and our personal towels were used to try and block the water from getting to our bags. The valve to turn the water off look as if it had rusted off so there was not stopping it without pliers. The hotel staff notified us that we needed to contact the owner that they could not help us. By this time we are scooping water from the toilet to the tub which in reality we could have just got our stuff and left. Luckily a very nice maintenance man came with pliers and a wet vaccuum. After many calls to the emergency number and emailing the maintenance email they provided there was no response. The number provided for after hours and weekends said to call back during normal business hours. We could not flush for two days and had used both the room and our personal towels for clean up. Monday morning I received an email from itrip stating they work remote and I needed to contact the maintenance email, which I did two days prior with no response. Finally after lunch they responded and had someone out to fix the toilet. Two days of not flushing with two kids and two adults is just disgusting. Why provide an emergency contact email and number but have no to answer the call or reply until Monday morning?

Ceiling covered with black mold made me sick

Ceiling covered with mold made me sick, mold on the outside of rusty refrigerator. Let the property manager know. They sent someone with a spray bottle of beach to spray ceiling. They sprayed bleach all over the bedding, all over my belongings that where in the room and didn’t even air it out or warn me to not go in or touch anything afterwards. Maintenance man told me he was here to spray and that was all the communication I got. I was physically ill due to my severe allergies so was my foyer old. After letting the community manager know the third time they offered to move us to a different location all together. I was grateful but was away from the rest of my family for the rest of the week. This room shouldn’t have even been allowed to stay in, in the first place. Such a disappointment to have this as my experience on vacation. I wouldn’t book this room without them addressing this issue fully.

We had a great stay. It is a nice place, clean (except for the shared entrance hallway) nice décor and great location with short drive to everything. The kitchen has all the items you need for cooking but no spices so we had to buy alot of extras and enough towels and blankets/pillows for the two of us with a comfy bed (including a fan that we needed for sleeping). The bathroom could use a little work and did not have a hairdryer as advertised. It has a perfect first floor view just steps from the beach and secluded away from the main pool/bar area. could use outdoor chairs and a small table for the patio. I would stay again.

The oceanfront property with beautiful. The pool and Lounge area was excellent. Room undesirable

Difficulties with the lock on every attempt to enter or exit. Roaches in the room even on the bedding. Mildew on the ceilings. Dingy towels. No exhaust fan or bathroom spray. Two tiny pieces of soap for two adults for 4 days. Extraneous fees were added that other people we talked with at the resort did not have to pay. You would be much better off just going through the Hawaiian Inn then renting through this owner! The property was certainly misrepresented to say the least. But the Hawaiian in itself was a pleasant place to stay.

Beautiful location on the beach

The pictures are perfect as you can walk straight out onto an overlook of the beach . Small and quaint . Perfect for 2-3 people . Older rental in terms of the structure . No blow dryer - had to purchase . Problematic that the staff of the resort does not support you in any way since it was a VRBO . Won’t answer questions . Won’t store luggage , and the hallways and bathrooms in the resort were very dirty and dark .

Disappointed

This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in a VRBO rental. The room at first glance was great, once we were settled we noticed many issues. No parking passes (but you did drop them off for us once I contacted you), no blow dryer which kind of stunk since I purposely didn't bring mine since the listing said there was one in the room. The chairs for the table were bad and we were afraid to use them and them break. The bed felt like it was falling apart and not even a little comfortable. The bathroom had part of the sink countertop coming apart and paint coming off the walls. The ceiling had black on it, hoping it wasn't mold. I loved the view and think the room would be perfect if it had a few things fixed. I am not going to post a review online because I am hoping the owners just might know about these items. I would be willing to rent the room again if I knew these items were taken care of. Sincerely Lacie
