"The price was right for a 5 day stay and the staff were very welcoming in the hotel and PUB. I do think the rooms in general need updating, but the room was spotless on arrival. I also recommend providing larger bath towels."

"Our room was well taken care of each day by the housekeeping team, the chocolates that they bring by each day were also an added bonus. The only issue that we had during our trip was when the gentleman working at the cafe gave my wife an attitude because she asked for sandwiches at 4:30 and he said it was close to closing time which was at 5:00."

"We stayed for 5 days, had an awesome stay and enjoyed St John's. The housekeeping service was superb Marina K surprised us with a rose made from a towel one day and an elephant the next day. She was very friendly. My husband 's birthday was on the 10th of July and when we returned after our excursions, we were greeted with balloons , a birthday card, a nice bottle of water and some desserts for his birthday. Very thoughtful and considerate. We will definitely return to the Sandman hotel in St John's again. Thanks for an enjoyable stay. July 6-11th."

"We were visiting St. John's for a week doing day trips and wanted a comfortable home base. Midstream Manor was in a great location, a 20 minute walk from downtown in a safe quiet neighbourhood and was perfect for our needs. A well equipped kitchen, lots of space, WiFi and, very important, a comfortable bed with good pillows! If you have travelled a lot you know that is not always the case.Our host David was excellent at responding to our questions. The staff were efficient when needed but we rarely saw them other than check in. This apartment has character. It is not a modern box of a hotel room but it has everything you would need for a great visit to the Rock. Parking is included and we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go from this central location. Quick caution, some units are up or down stairs but St. John's is a bit of a challenging walking city in any case with all of the hills. Hopefully that does not deter anyone from visiting. It is well worth it!"
