「Had everything we needed for an extended weekend of riding the HM trails. Very clean, comfortable and quiet but not far to Buffalo Mountain trail access and gas station. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit each evening. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. We’ve stayed many places in the HM system over the last several years and this house is one of the nicest we’ve seen. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Thank you for allowing us to stay!」

「My wife and I stayed at the Red Dog Cottage for our wedding anniversary trip. The cottage and surrounding property were beautiful and meticulously cleaned and groomed. My wife and I enjoy riding ATVs and this location was perfect for that, being only .5 mile from the Hatfield McCoy trail entrance. The property owners are wonderful people and the love they have poured into this property is immediately evident the minute you set foot on it.」

「The title says it all. The house was perfect for the 4 people in my group and definitely wouldn't have an issue adding in another couple or a few kids. the Buffalo Mountain Trailhead is about 100 yards away so no crazy amounts of road riding to get on trails. The owner could not have been more accommodating. Answered every question we had in short order. 10/10, will be back again!!」

「First of all Myrna was extremely helpful with checking in and parking and then the apartment was so nicely decorated and updated and super clean loved all the small touches from the coffee and sugar supplied to the fire pit stocked with wood and the privacy of the location is awesome we will be back soon with our kids and a few friends」

「Papa Bear's Den was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay with our son and daughter in law. Plenty of space, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and linens, great TVs and even outdoor areas to cook and visit. We loved sitting in the backyard listening to the river. Gary was a very responsive and friendly host and went out if his way to make our stay nice. He's put a lot of love and care into the house and it shows. I especially appreciate him not being stingy with things like TP, trash...

「Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay as planned due to being exposed and testing positive for Covid. Our host was understanding and very helpful, even offering different dates for a future stay. However, due to end of year work obligations we were unable to make plans. Genuinely nice, honest host that went out of her way to accommodate. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.」

The only reason the location got a 4 star was because there is a ball park that shares a parking lot with this home and it gets crazy crowded but then on a good note you can run over to the concession stand and get some good snacks! We rode 10 hours one day. The trails were amazing around this property!」
