Stayed here before a track event at Donington and honestly it is one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in. Beverley is a wonderful host and from the moment she greeted us was full of advice, and tips to make our stay more comfortable. The bed was so comfortable I crashed out and didn’t stir at all. As others have stated everywhere was immaculately clean.

Highly recommend
Lovely host, cosy room, and a good breakfast. We visited on a freezing cold weekend in December, our room was warm on arrival and the super king sized bed and duvet made for a very comfortable night's sleep.

Beverly is a fantastic innkeeper - friendly and knowledgeable. Property is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific. The town of Melbourne is amazing. Very close to major attractions.

Have stayed before so knew that we would be getting a perfect stay again. The biggest most comfortable bed ever. The room is full of little extras which make it that bit special. Nothing is too much trouble for the host.

A comfortable and friendly place to stay.
Very friendly welcome, small issue getting there with road works nearby, owner directed us on the phone and came out to wave. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast only thing that was a bit tricky was very small car park so had to do a very slow 'n point turn' to get out and note that the stairs maybe a little step for some people with health issues, fine for us, otherwise a lovely place and we enjoyed our visit

As you say our car park is small and so I recommend you reverse in to make driving out easier. Very cosy and friendly B&B. We were made very welcome. Extensive breakfast, lovely biscuits to have with drinks in our room. The property is very quiet and well placed for restaurants, etc. Recommended!

A warm welcome and great night stay
My husband and I stayed at The Coach House for a last minute Valentine' get away. When we arrived we were had a warm and friendly greeting. Provided information about the local Town and breakfast etc. The room was lovely! I love the Queen size bed, it was so comfy! Lots of lovely little extra touches in the room. Breakfast was faultless, my wife had vegetarian and I had the full english. Fruist juices, yogurts, cereals etc were also available. A great stay!

Couldn't be much better if it tried
Was at the B&B for the week as i was working in the area. A lovely little place in a lovely village and very polite hostess that couldn't be more accommodating. Only problem is i've worked in the Derby area a few times since and it's always booked up! So if this place has got availability and you're thinking about staying. Don't hesitate! Only one slight issue which wasn't really an issue for me is that the room i was staying in didn't have a very good wifi signal. But i had 4G and only used it for emails so wasn't a problem.

Friendly Hotel

The hostess was friendly and welcoming.The room and bathroom were absolutely spotless,as were the sitting and dining rooms.Unusually there was a comfortable guest lounge.The bathroom had flannels,soap and various shampoos as well as the usual towels.The room itself had a large comfortable double bed .There was tea,coffee,hot chocolate,as well as biscuits and a bar of chocolate.There was even a lovely ceramic teapot.The breakfast was excellent,sourced from the local butcher. All in all it was an excellent,friendly guest house well worth visiting.

We came to Melbourne for a family gathering. A relative met us in Stratford-Upon-Avon to take us to see Hamlet, then drove us to Melbourne. Unfortunately, this meant we arrived at this lovely B and B at midnight!!!! The owner was so gracious when I called to explain our plans and stayed up to let us in.

Lovely little hotel with very friendly owners
We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum). The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving. Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. There are a number of places to eat nearby including a lovely Indian restaurant a few doors down. The bedroom was very comfortable, the bed, pillows and duvet the best of any hotel I've stayed at. A genuinely fantastic couple of nights, would recommend and stay again.

A gem
We stayed for one night whilst attending a wedding at Amalfi White across the road. The lovely Beverley was able to allow us early access to the room so we could change. A lovely large room at the front of the hotel, large very comfortable bed and immaculately clean. Excellent breakfast using really good quality produce. We would definitely stay here again.

very good would have been excellant if
very good BB, Excellent breakfast, very hospitable owner, free parking, free Wi-Fi. I'm not a fan of down stairs bedrooms especially when allocated to courtyard rather than the house, thus my request for a top floor room. but for one night it was still very good for the price. bedroom was small for a double and walls are thin no sound proofing so was kept awake by next doors snoring. but then I guess they might have had the same problem with mine. overall very good would have been excellent I guess if had an actual room in the house. Hotels.com need to mention if it is an courtyard room your paying for.
