Wonderful stay room was very spacious not the one we booked but was very impressed with the size and comfort Ate dinner in the restaurant which was very good nice selection of beers at the bar and the breakfast was exceptional thank you for a wonderful stay

The Hotelis set in its own grounds just off a modrately busy road. We were welcomed when we entered the hotel and check in was very easy. We were shown to our room which was light and airy with very high celings. The Bathroom had a beautiful roll-top bath and a large shwer with a 'waterfall' head. (Great control and none of this water going from hot to cold you sometimes get) We didn't eat here as we were meeting friends in Derby so can't comment about the food but we did have breakfast here which we both enjoyed. Overall a great experience and we would certainly recommend to others and we will use again next time we're in the area. The hotel was getting ready for a wedding the next day and the planning and work going into this was great to see. If the staff do half as much for their guests and other functions then they will have no worries for the future. All in all 5 stars from us

This is a real gem of a hotel. Beautifully decorated, excellent rooms and service. The evening meal was very, very good as was the complementary breakfast. We couldn't recommend the hotel enough.

What a lovely hotel. Beautiful room and fantastic restaurant. The food was fantastic. Lovely location with Keddleston Hall on the doorstep. Very reasonable price for the quality. Perfect position for visiting Derby university. Family run hotel and the personal service was great. Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing stay. Lovely, welcoming hosts and the food was out of this world. My only niggle was the mattress was a bit soft but it’s not stopped me booking for next Valentine’s Day!!
