Our first time in Destin was awesome! A clean and safe property definitely made it better. We (Dad and kids) had the pool to ourselves several evenings, because most ventured to the beach in the evenings. We were very strategic about our beach time during the day and relaxed at the pool 3 of 5 nights. Not a bad walk to the beach. It wasn't "right in our back yard" but the walk is not bad by any means. Great check in/ check out process. We enjoyed our time and would stay again. .

While the location was very nice, our overall stay was very stressful to say the least. We had another VRBO booked that cancelled our reservation the night before so we had to fnd a new one very quickly. This house was available. It is a very short walk to the beach and a restaurant . There is not a grocery store or many other restaurants in walking distance. When we got in the house, we immidiately found three cockroaches. I messaged the property manager letting her know and asked if we could check out at 11am instead of the 9am time that is required. Again, we booked flights based on the other house's checkout time but 9am is VERY early to check out. She responded and said they would send out pest control and that we couldn't check out after 9am, not even leave our suitcases in the garage while the cleaning people came. The pest control never did come. The management company was not willing to help at all. Even if there weren't cockroaches, I wouldn't stay there again because the 9am check out is ridiculous and the management company was so unhelpful.

Everything was great except the light in the front yard is so bright it’s hard to sleep at night. You need to add curtains or shades instead of blinds in the bedrooms. Also check out time is to early
