Chateau La Mer is a very beautiful property that is well taken care of. Our condo was nicely decorated, clean and very welcoming! The shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom plus the makeup cloths were a nice touch. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! We would definitely come back!

The condo was perfect for our family of 5! Very clean and so cute. The master bed was a bit uncomfortable but we managed and loved our time here!!! The walk to the beach was really not long, but, if you're traveling with littles plan to rent a golfcart it would've definitely came in handy!

Great Beach Condo

This was my first experience with staying in a condo instead of a hotel. I was super impressed and appreciated the thoughtful amenities included in the condo (kitchen gear, beach service, beach items, washer & dryer, fan, etc.). Check in and out was easy. We enjoyed the quick walk to the beach and the pool. We walked to dinner one night while cooking another. Having a reserved parking spot for our unit, we never had to worry about parking. I would definitely book again.

Cheer getaway

Awesome location, pool was awesome. Very quiet. A few more necessities for the kitchen would have been nice. More TP, paper towels, coffee filters, etc.

Everything you need at the beach!

Great space for our family of 6! All the amenities are covered; kitchen is well-stocked, linens and towels provided, beach toys/wagon available and beach service chairs/umbrella included with the rental. Unit is clean and well maintained, pool is great and private beach access is a short walk away. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!

Fun Stay

The check-in process was easy and the walk to the beach was excellent. Everything was good and Richard was helpful when we needed items such as extra trash bags or ice! We will most definitely be back!

Beach getaway

Good amount of kitchen supplies and bedding and towels were well supplied. Loved having a large wooden table to opposed to a glass topped table. Bathrooms could use an update but got the job done. Would have loved a hamper to put laundry in. Overall we were happy.

Quick Fun Beach Trip

We had a great time at this condo! The neighborhood surrounding this condo is absolutely beautiful. The best part was the pool right by the unit. Our kids loved the pool! I was skeptical at all of the reviews saying it was heated, but it definitely was! It was the perfect temperature!! The walk to the beach is a bit far, especially for small kids or elderly (I personally thought it wasn't too bad but my kiddos complained a little about the walk). We ended up renting a golf cart and used it to carry all of our tents/chairs to the beach. The complimentary umbrella and beach chairs were a huge plus! I would definitely recommend this condo!

Great Location and Property

Everything about the stay was great. The property was as described. Beach was only a short walk away. The only disappointing thing was the check-in process. Arrived at 4 o'clock Sunday to check into property. No key was available in the box. Called property manager, he met us at the office. Gave us the keys and told us they were finishing up cleaning the property. Waited an additional 15-20 minutes to finish up room. Again this was the only frustrating thing about this property. Just wished that after driving 8 hours that the room would be ready at the check in time listed on site.

Great and affordable for families!

This was a great and affordable place to stay. It has a pool and included 2 beach chairs on the beach. The only complaint I have is that the pictures made it look like it was on the side of the road with the beach. It’s not. It’s about a five min walk. Not terrible but difficult to carry a lot with kids. The condo was clean and comfy! It also had its own washer and dryer. Richard the property manager was a great help and answered communication quickly.

Mixed review

First, let me say that the property manager was available and responsive. We got to know him on a first name basis as we called him numerous times. The wifi name and password on our documentation was not correct, not a huge problem we figured it out. Next, there was no code to get into the beach entrance, so again we had to call Richard. Then the cockroach in the living room was kinda nasty, but ok, bugs are part of life, right? We didn’t call Richard on that one. Next the kitchen plumbing under the sink broke and the kitchen floor flooded. Richard was responsive and came over about 9pm to look at it. It was repaired just after noon the next day. Up to this point, I had decided that I wasn’t going to share our experience, but rather just grin, enjoy the sun and waves, and overlook it all....then the beach service incident occurred. (Let me say that one of the reasons we picked this property was because of the beach service!). We arrived at the beach and 3-4 setups were unoccupied on the “front row” closest to the water. None had our name on it, but they hadn’t all week. So we settled into one of them, moving the little yellow reserved name tag to another set. Next thing we know, the little beach man comes running at us yelling that we couldn’t sit there. We weren’t “cash” customers so we didn’t get next to the water. Pretty sure the owners of this property pay him for this service, perhaps not as much FOR ANY SINGLE DAY but certainly more over the course of the summer than any “cash” customer! Pretty frustrating to be considered a second class citizen when, in my mind, we paid for this service! Despite all this, we had a great time in Destin.

The property was about a 6 minute walk to the beach. It was great to have the chairs and umbrellas included. The heated pool was a favorite of my kids and very close to this condo. The condo was more spacious than we thought it was going to be. One downside was you can see into the neighboring house and yard and there were spring breakers there and there were several times I had to pull my kids inside because they should be seeing what was happening in that house. No fault of this condo owner but something to be mindful of if you have little ones.

Best VRBO I’ve ever stayed in

What a steal this place was! Richard was so easy to communicate with, and responded promptly! He made himself available day or night! The condo was clean and organized. Just a quick 5 minute stroll to the beach or a couple local restaurants. The best part was the umbrella and chairs included at the beach! This was a LIFE SAVER after the first day when some of the group (okay it was just me 🤷🏻‍♀️) got burnt! Will most definitely be back!

Wonderful spacious condo!

We came down for a quick weekend and this condo was perfect! Very spacious inside and had a great porch put back. It’s only about a 5 minute walk to the beach and it was nice having a private beach. The beach wasn’t crowded at all, which is a major problem on other areas of the panhandle. We would definitely stay here again.
