“The location we had originally booked canceled our reservation due to selling property and issues with plumbing. Upon searching for something close we stumbled across this amazing property. Granted its not on the water like the place we originally had, but this location slept more people, was large, had 2 bathrooms, a cleaning room for fish, a huge kitchen, was decorated very nicely with outdoor theme, and the owners were very accommodating, easy to work with and fast to respond. “The staff at the hotel were so friendly and knowledgeable. We did not know any of the history of the hotel or town when we booked our stay and everyone was so kind in welcoming us and sharing with us the unique history! “Lovely historic hotel with modern amenities in the heart of a small town on the river front. Once checked in I could have all of my needs met by foot! A nice brewery, restaurants and the river front all within a mile. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever enjoyed in a hotel. Hours are spotty, but I did get to enjoy both the basement Speakeasy as well as the dining room for breakfast. Wonderful stay overall.”

“I had an issue getting into my room after returning and the staff was very gracious and put me into a dofferent room and drove 30 minutes to help rescue me so i could get my belongings from the room. I would stay here again. Has wonderful historic charm. ”

“We loved the ability to put our kayaks and bikes in the secure garage. Downtown was close as were multiple bike trails and entry points. Chippewa Falls was an easy drive, and we enjoyed visiting Lake Wissota. The house was cute and had everything we needed. The location is not a resort type area; the surrounding neighborhood is family and student oriented. It was a quiet neighborhood. The closest restaurants and downtown amenities are a 15 minute walk, but everything is an easy drive.”
