「Beautiful property inside and out! Clean and very well maintained. Hosts were very gracious! Views were very pretty! We look forward to returning!」

「Fay was wonderful to send check information and assist when we needed help.」

「This is an excellent studio apartment for a couple! Very quiet and peaceful, close to shopping and restaurants! We enjoyed our time together and to refocus!」

「This place was clean and kept up. Everything was exactly as advertised. We had a wonderful stay!」

「There was no cooktop or AC in bedroom. The shared deck didn’t look like pictures and when a whole family was in the next unit, there was no privacy on it. Could only stream on TV. Location was OK but couldn’t walk to Blowing Rick.」

「This place was perfect for our stay. It is perfectly secluded but not too far from Blowing Rock proper. The view from the deck and hot tub was wonderful. Owner/property manager (?) was very responsive and dealt with one issue we had same day. We would love to go back to this place!」

「We enjoyed our stay. However, because of mobility concerns, we will probably not be back. The cabin was very clean but….the stairs and showers were a concern for us as we are in our 70s. The road up to the cabin was longer than expected and had so many hairpin turns! But the cabin and view were lovely! Even our pups enjoyed the deck!」

「Perfect for couples! Cozy fireplace, hot tub, comfortable bed with fantastic view!Close to town but feels very secluded. We highly recommend The Secret Shack and hope to stay there again on a future trip!」

「Great property」

「Outstanding stay all around! Chris was waiting for us to show us around the house when we arrived. Everything was exactly as it is shown in the listing. The view is even better than it appears in pictures. The property has everything you need and is secluded and relaxing. The hot tub was awesome. We will definitely return.」

「This is a fabulous mountain getaway! My husband and I went for a few days to celebrate a milestone birthday and wanted to rent someplace really special. This property is beyond special! It is so unique, well designed, well built and is in the most spectacular setting! Every feature of every room was clearly well thought out with extraordinary taste in decor, fixtures and amenities. The drive to the cabin on the partly paved, partly gravel road leads to an amazing, secluded, and peaceful...

「The property was exactly as it is advertised. Very clean and easy check in. I didn’t notice it didn’t have a shower until after I booked it but that is on me and not anything to do with the property itself. Very good value for the money if you are okay without a shower and a twin bed works for your needs.」

「We stayed 2 weeks. The only things that we needed to bring with us were a freezer, microwave oven & food for 3 weeks.A 2 week supply of coffee was left for us and the housekeeper was very helpful.I managed to get some sunning in on the deck.Neighbors dogs are friendly- friendlier if you feed them. We'd go back fer sure.al」

「The cabin was clean! Renee is a great host!!!」

「Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. 」
