「The cottage was really cute and clean. Plenty of towels. My daughter kept in touch with the staff for me. It did have a fireplace which was not needed for our stay but fall hit soon after we left. There was not a kitchen but did have a mini fridge and microwave. We spent time at Fort Davis National Historic Site, Balmorhea State Park, actually saw the Marfa lights, and the McDonald Observatory. Definitely recommend!」

「Stopped in for a quick overnight stay while picking up our youngest at Prude Ranch summer camp. The little house was super clean, very comfortable and well appointed. Comfortable bed and linens, great tv, kitchenette and bathroom. Quiet, simple luxury in lovely Fort Davis, and very affordable in comparison to hotel rooms in the area. Checking and checkout were a breeze, and we felt right at home ! Did not have a chance to enjoy the rooftop deck, but it looked lovely. Would definitely...

「The house is so comfortable. An abundance of nice towels in both bathrooms. So important to me. The Greek soaking tub was a hit with the grandchildren. Me, too! Such gorgeous views. So peaceful. We saw deer, quail (a pair) and a coyote walking through the tall grass. So convenient to the McDonald Observatory and Mt Davis State Park for hiking and lunch at the Black Bear at the Indian Lodge. We had a wonderful time.」

「Beautiful view, attentive host, comfortable beds, beautiful sunsets」

「Great place in the heart of Marfa! Charming with lots of ‘Easter eggs’ to find. Will come back and spend more time.」

「I loved everything about it!!!! However the patio up top and the stars go great together!! It was by far the most comfy, cute place I’ve stayed. The calm and quiet was an added bonus! This is the way to go when traveling to Alpine! I can’t wait to visit again! Everything you need in a tiny, comfy place.」

「Clean location. Peaceful and host was very accommodating.」

「Cozy place. Room was clean and location was within city limits. Plan on booking again in the near future.」

「I loved the location, the setup of the house, the eye for detail, and convenience. Great place to stay when visiting the Alpine area.」

「We stayed here for two nights while visiting the McDonald Observatory in the Davis Mountains. The unit itself was clean, the A/C worked very well, and there was plenty of hot water. There were, however, a few areas that could use some attention. The photos of the back patio are outdated. The space currently has a patio table and a plastic picnic table, but the patio table hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. The umbrella was a nice touch and provided good shade, but there was an empty water...

「Wonderful place! We loved the fun and funky vibe of the property and the decor, and found the yurt to be comfortable, well-supplied with everything needed in the kitchenette, and conveniently located for our nearby adventures. The hanging candles were an unexpected treat!」

「The property was beautiful and we loved the remote feeling. The stars were beautiful to watch at night! My only complaint is that two weeks before the reservation I asked about if a portable grill, stovetop burner or small charcoal grill was aloud and then messaged two days before and never received an answer. I did have to contact the host day of to receive the code because somehow I didn’t get an email from the host about check in and WiFi code. That was sorted out when I called instead of...

「Pet friendly」

「It was clean and lots of privacy. Nice size yard with nice outdoor furniture and fire ring. The sofa pull out bed has some bent metal bars and wouldn’t stay flat. Barn doors were a bit tricky keep close. Shower needs to be hand held. Lots of thorny sticker burs in yard. We had to work hard to remove them from shoes. The property manager and owner were helpful. When we told them we forgot something at the property, they helped collect the items and let us pick up. 」

「This is a really cute place. Worked well for our needs. It is right next to train tracks so bring your ear plugs. It was clean. Easy to get to. Would stay at again.」

「It was perfect for me」

「Was super and would stay again!! Just need to update information to proved WiFi. 」
