"The cottage was very clean and nicely furnished with some lovely welcome treats upon arrival. It was also a lovely quiet place. The only downside, personally, was we would have preferred a small table and chairs near the foot of the stairs over bar stools at a breakfast bar. Being able to use the log burner would have been nice but with a thatched roof, we understand the dangers of that."

"I cannot speak highly enough of the property, the hosts and the location, we simply had a fantastic experience. The property was really well appointed, in great condition and super clean. The location is stunning with fantastic views out across Dartmoor and direct access within minutes to some of the best walking in North Dartmoor. Lastly you will find it difficult to receive a warmer welcome and more accommodating hosts anywhere, thank you so much, we will be back ! "

"Lovely place in the heart of Tavistock. The spacious living/dining area was great for our group. A couple of bigger pans for cooking would be useful. Parking is a bit of a pain but we managed. Overall we had a great stay and would book again."

"I think my wife and I were the third people to stay at this place. It was perfect. The owners obviously live here at least part of the year, and it’s clear they love it. The bungalow is lovely. The entire place opens up with classic English countryside views, sounds, and smells. They have around 10 bird feeders all over the place, along with binoculars, bird guide books, OS maps, general guide books. Going by the books—the place is a literal library—I’m assuming the owners own and travel in a...

"My wife and I stayed at The Coach House while I was working in the area, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The cottage is cosy, beautifully maintained, and in a fantastic location for exploring both Dartmoor and the coast. After long days out (or at work), we loved relaxing in front of the fire or enjoying the peaceful garden. Thoughtful touches like the prosecco on arrival and a well-equipped kitchen made it feel like a real home from home. Highly recommended!"

"Property as advertised. Very comfortable stay, with everything you need. Despite typical wet and gloomy Dartmoor weather, the cottage was warm with plenty of space for us and the dogs to dry off between walks."
