Absolutely gorgeous! This was an amazing place, most gorgeous views with the nicest pool/jacuzzi area. The host, Mauro was so accommodating and excellent to communicate with. The villa was very nice with comfortable bedrooms and hi tech projection tv as well as nicely stocked kitchen. I highly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay in this villa. it was clean and spacious and just as advertised. Definitely a five star stay, the kids loved it and the location was brilliant! Amazing views! The garden area and pool are fantastic. The landlord Mauro couldn't have been any more helpful and courteous ,nothing was a problem and from start to finish we were made to feel at home . I fully recommend this villa, you will not be disappointed! A great house ,area and superb stay altogether!

Has everything you need. We were greeted by the owner and felt very much at home immediately. The Villa has everything you could possibly want. The location was great. Easy access to the autostrada and easily walkable to town and beach if you are in good physical condition. The pool area is very inviting and clean. Lots of good recommendations for area restaurants that don't disappoint. We hope to return one day.

How to spend a fantastic vacation. Villa il poggiolo is a fantastic property. swimmingpool very well organised and maintained. The house ( we were in the VIP SUITE) very well furnished. Air conditioning worked perfectly. the kitchen is fanstastic organised and have a fantastic view over the sea. it was simply a dream and we will come back again.

Villa il Poggiolo - April. We spent great holiday in Villa il Poggiolo's VIP-suite. Location of this Villa was peaceful with nice view to the sea. VIP-suite is very modern, fully equipped apartment and there is nice garden area around the Villa. Owner of the Villa was very helpful and he recommended for example good restaurants and local sights. We warmly recommend this Villa for everyone! Ps. Mauro, thank you for your delicious pizzas :)

We had the pleasure to celebrate our grandmother/Nonna's birthday with the most wonderful stay at Villa il Poggiolo! All in all 15 people had a great week here, we could not ask for a better vacation. The apartments are luxoriuous but homely, the high-tech equipment such a bonus and the new pool area just perfect for the children as well as the adults. Thank you Mauro and Stefano! Great stay in great villa. We can highly recommend a stay in the VIP apartment ! We loved the new swimming pool, the garden, the media player all around the house and the great view! The village Diano Marina is lovely, especially on Sunday morning! The owner could not have been more helpful when our three year old girl fell down the stairs. We are still very greatful that he drove us to the hospital and functioned as a translater from Italian to English! We might even return!

We spent a week at Villa il Poggiolo with friends - four adults and three children altogether. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was our favorite room of all with a magnificent view of the sea and a fantastic sound system with thousands of songs to choose from. The children loved the table tennis table and the iMac in the living room. The location is great and we were able to get around on foot. Mauro and his son Stefano are very nice and helpful guys. We will definitely return.

The area around the Suite is very lovely and nice. The Suite is outside the village situated on a slope. The area is very quiet. The town is very nice in a tipical italian style. The supermarket basko is good. If you want to eat a very good pizza you must go to the o sole mio or to the fra diavolo. The suite is exactly as described. We were 8 people ( 5 adults and 3 childrens ) and can only recommend the suite. All things you need are present.

Best value,perfect location. Waiting my vacantion for some time ,couldn't be more excited when I found Villa il Poggiolo.Everything was like presented on the website.View over Sea and city breathtaking day and night,quiet surroundings just 5 minutes walk from shops and restaurants street.VIP-Suite,the largest apartment in the vila,has enough space and utilities to make u feel like home.Very welcoming owner,ready to help if need it. A perfect place to stay. Diano Marina is a perfect location for sightseeing the coastline from Monaco to Cinque Terre. The city itself has plenty of nice restaurants and shops. Nice beach and seaside areas. Villa Poggiolo is located with a wonderful view of Diano Marina and the ocean. From the villa it is a short walk down to the main street to get hold of fresh bread for your breakfast. In the other direction from the villa, you are able to hike or go jogging for hours into the country side on quite narrow roads between the olive fields. The villa itself has all the facilities you expect, well equipped, clean and spacious. Same goes for the garden and pool area. Definitely a location to recommend.

FANTASTIC!!! First time renting an apartment in Liguria and I must say that we were very lucky to have found MAURO. We were five adults and three children and everything ran smoothly. Wonderful days in Villa in pogiolo. Perfect holidays for families with Children. We had really wonderful holidays in August 2012 in The weather was so hot, that you should not move to much. No Problem in our holiday home at Villa il pogiolo. The house is ful climaticised and in the pool you can cool down when ever you want. Especially the chidren had a lot of fun. The house contains luxurious rooms , so that no wishes are staying (especially the kitchen is a dream). Everathing is very clean , and the service in case of problems was first class. My advice for Holiday: Villa il pogiolo

Beautiful and relaxing holiday. Dear all, we were 8 jung people at the vip suite and we really can recommend this appartment. This appartment has a lot of useful electrical devices. For example you have in each room music available and you can switch it off or on in every room you want. Also the kitchen is really big and has everything wat you need. We used this a lot. The pool is realy nice and has also a whirl pool. From the pool area as well as from the balcony you have a great view over Diano Marina and the ocean. In appr. 20 minutes by walk you reach the ocean and the city with the shops. We can recommend to everybody to make a trip to monaco which is only 1 hour by car away. We are sure that we will come back.

As good as it gets. We stay in Italy at least once a year and usually in an appartment in Liguria. This time we brought our brother-in-law, his wife and their children (1,3) along. We occupied both VIP Panorama and VIP Suite. There are descriptions of this home available on the owners homepage who excells every expactation one could have. Both appartments are extremely well equipped and in very good condition. There is a fine kitchen in both appartments and a stable wireless connection to the internet without the need of taking your laptop with you since there are PCs at your disposal in all appartments. Outside is lots of space to chill or romp with your kids. The pool area is fenced in completely, so you don't have to worry about your children (or yourself) falling in the water. There is enough space to have five cars easily parked. Diano Marina is a kid-friendly city. You can park your car in the street leading towards the train station free of charge. It is an easy two minutes walk to the city centre and another two to the beaches. There are a couple of nice towns around and Monaco & France are in easy driving distance. Don't miss to visit Villa Hanbury right on the french border. Mauro is a most friendly, available and dedicated landowner. We recommend this property to our friends.

Perfect holiday. Me and my family spent a nice and relaxing week at the Ligurian Sea. The VIP Suite with its exposed position and its beautiful garden contributed a lot to that: The villa is built into the hillside about 5 minutes by car to the city center and beach. This location gives total privacy, calm and repose. The apartment offers a lot of space for a big familiy or a group and is modern and perfectly equiped. E.g. there is music and sound system with hidden loudspeakers in every room, an apple computer with a large spectrum of music in the kitchen, WiFi in the hole apartment. The kitchen itself is equiped with everything you need for cooking. There is a balcony you can sit but there is also a private part in the garden that belongs to the VIP Suite with a large table and chairs. The garden and the pool area is very clean and well-tended. Everyday the staff cleaned the pool and did the gardening. A jacuzzi is integrated in the pool and at night you can illuminate the pool with different colours of light. From the garden and the pool you have a wonderful view on the sea and Diano Marina. Mauro is a very good host. Before we arrived, he answered all our questions (we had a lot of them :-)) within a very short time. When we arrived, he explained everything to us very patiently and gave us good restaurant recommendations (delicious pizza at "O sole mio"). Considering all things, this apartment is higly recommended!! Thanks again to Mauro for this perfect holiday.

Exceptional property. This was our 2nd stay at the VIP suite. We have found it difficult to return after our 1st stay in 2009 because it's generally booked up pretty early, but after a compromised experience the previous year, we booked this 51 weeks ahead and we weren't disappointed. Location is, for us, excellent. It's far enough from town to be peaceful so the children sleep, but it's close enough to walk into Diano Marina which has a great selection of places to eat. There is a pretty challenging hill to the gates, but it's short, and our 3 year old was quite happy to walk up by himself. Inside, the apartment is furnished and cleaned as if it's your own. There have been no compromises on furnishings or maintenance and there are a few bonuses. The super quiet air conditioning is one; the fabulous multi room music system another. How many apartments include use of bikes? Pizza Oven? Whilst the whole place looks very attractive, the basics have not been forgotten. So often we've checked into a large property to find we are missing simple things like a full set of cutlery or a comfortable mattress, even kitchen appliances that work. Not here. We have recommended this place to friends and family and those who have used the smaller apartments on the same property have reported similar experiences. Quite honestly, I would say it's the best place we've ever rented. It may not be the cheapest of couse, but there are so many positives / bonuses that value soon overtakes the price. And it's hard to put a price on the view out to Capo Berta at sunset!

Lovely in Liguria. Il Poggiolo is a marvelous villa, sumptuous but comfortable and made for easy living. Minutes from the center of town, it is convenient to anything you may want but once the gates close behind you, it is peaceful and beautiful with the red tiled town below, the ocean and the hills all at a glance. The pool, surrounded by lush lawn, overlooks the sea and with the chaises and umbrellas offers good reason not to venture to the beach if you’re feeling lazy. The kitchen is amply equipped and with its functional center island, can easily accommodate 8-10 for extensive or simple menus. And with the porch just a step away, al fresco dining seems natural. We took advantage of the sensational outdoor wood burning oven for spectacular pizza, whole fish and anything else you may want to cook. Everything tastes better coming from this olive wood fueled oven. We also availed ourselves of the charcoal grill and with ample outdoor (covered) seating adjoining the oven and grill it affords long lazy family dinners that you will not soon forget. The VIP suite is dominated by a living room that is sleekly furnished , 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.. all rooms are high tech. The sprawling couches accommodated our entire group of six adults one toddler and one infant for as long as we wanted to lounge without feeling close. It is a lovely, spacious and quite functional room with the large parsons table a perfect collective desktop for our 3 computers, 4 cell phones, 2 iPads and respective charging stations as well as serving as Strategy Central for planning the days activities. Panorama One: My wife and I rented this apartment in order to leave the large VIP Suite to our children and grandchildren. This apartment was spacious and comfortable with welcome privacy and perfect air conditioning but still within a few seconds reach of our family. The deck was sensational for morning espresso and irresistible in the evening. Importantly, our 3 year old granddaughter experienced a high fever the treatment of which was handled expeditiously by the owner’s representative, the highly efficient Anarella who quickly arranged a visit to, and drove them to, the doctor’s office. The doctor was waiting, no red tape, treated Lucienne and allowed us to resume our vacation worry free. No small thing! The owner was so accommodating and responded to each phone call immediately. All in all a lovely experience.

MEMORABLE. If you need a place of perfect serenity with breath-views, this is where you want to be! Mauro and Stefano are the best hosts we have ever had! The VIP Suite is heavenly. The poolside, jacuzzi, the music and the view that comes with it all, is what you need for a perfect holiday. We were a group of 10 persons, including a toddler, and we had ample room for everyone. Eating breakfast on the terrace with the view of the sea was divine. Enjoying a glass of prosecco and watching the sunset is a highlight. I could go on and on. In sum, I would highly recommend this property anytime and I am looking forward to another opportunity to enjoy this property. These views are shared by the rest of my family who came from Cameroon, USA, Kenya and Switzerland
