"Riverside Cottage is situated in a fairytale setting, with woodland behind and the river in front of the cottage. Access is easy, however, and we had no problems finding it. We could park the car close to the front door. Gaining entry was easy, following the clear instructions we'd received, and we found the cottage clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. "The owner only sent entry instructions after i emailed the day before asking about them. Hotels.com said pets stayed for free but we were charged £7 per night. We couldn't get the shower to warm up. There were no instructions for anything in the cabin. The beds are very small doubles. Strangely there was no kettle in the lodge. It needs a lot of TLC. One positive is the setting is stunning. It's well overpriced for what you get. "

"Room spacious and comfortable with extras like tea/coffee/water well stocked. Bath was nice to have but also a powerful shower. Food is good although service stops a little early - especially on Sunday. Breakfast very good - all cooked to order."

"Clean single room, great for a few night's stay. Downside: widows do not open (restricted) and it was hot!!! Thank you for a fan. It would be great I the windows were not restricted and I could create a draft to air out the room. Staff were nice, it's just the wait time. Maybe it was my own fault as it was busy. Another thing - there was nowhere to put the backpack/ luggage. Could you please provide a bench or something? It would be a great addition to the room!"

"Lovely property with very friendly and helpful staff. Big relaxing and inviting bar area. The pool area was ok, the hot tub was warm not hot but still relaxing after a long hike. Not a place where you can rest on lounge chairs but if you wanted to swim, sauna, steam room then perfect. Stayed in a lodge room which was the best choice, very quiet and view to greenery and trees. Room and bathroom very spacious. Highly recommend."

"We recently stayed at this site as a family (my wife, daughter, and I) and had a fantastic time. There was plenty to do throughout the day to keep our little one entertained, and in the evenings, it was lovely to relax in the private hot tub once she was asleep — a real bonus! The location was great too, with beautiful beaches just 10 minutes away, which made for some lovely day trips. We also had a bit of car trouble on our first day when our car wouldn’t start. We called reception and were so impressed — someone was out to help us within minutes. Thanks to their quick response, we were back on the road and able to enjoy the rest of our holiday without stress. Overall, a great stay with helpful staff, a lovely atmosphere, and a perfect base for a relaxing family break. Would definitely recommend!"
