Surpassed all expectations

What a delightful accommodation at the cliffs of Moher. Walking distance to central Doolin. Hiking starts at the property. Perfect view of castle. Home was so comfortable and well appointed. Stayed for nearly a week and hated to leave.

Best of the Cliffs of Mohr

Fantastic house on the edge of cliffs of Mohr. We really enjoyed our week at Sally’s house. She is the consummate hostess.

August in Doolin

We recently stayed at Castle View House in Doolin and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, well equipped and provides a superb base to explore the stunning local area. Sally was a great host who welcomed us warmly to Castle View. We'd definitely stay again.

A dream come true

A great stay on the near Cliffs of Moher

There were seven in our group, four adults and three teenagers. The home was very comfortable with plenty of room. It was a good jumping off point for day trips to Galway and Shannon, and lots of sightseeing in between. Sally was a great host, and very quickly responded to a couple of requests we had. Highly recommend!

Great Location & Views

Great views and location! Spacious and we didnt even use all the rooms! They also have livestock and we were able to see a new born calf halfway thru our stay. Communicating was easy and house is emaculate. She provides some staple foods as well like brown bread, orange juice, milk and butter. Great place!

Pictures just don’t do it justice. Beautiful house in a perfect location. Easy walk to Pubs and shops. Ocean views from most of windows. We are so glad we stayed here.

A perfect family vacation

This house is everything you see and more! Incredible views and perfect location. My kids were calling it home from the first day! We loved walking into town and going on trips to the Aran Islands, the Cliffs, and Doolin Cave. The cows were also always a delight. We loved our stay!

Amazing Property / Great Location

Everything was as advertised. Sally was a great host. The house was perfect for four adults and four kids. We enjoyed hiking along the cliffs and taking a tour of the Doolin Cave. Best place to stay in or around Doolin.

Fabulous stay at Castle View

My husband, 3 children and I had a wonderful stay at Castle View. Sally is a lovely host and very accommodating. The property is exactly as pictured and described and overall Doolin exceeded our expectations. Castle View provided us with the unique element of being partially immersed in the Irish culture.

Beautiful property. Location was great for visiting all the major sights in Co Clare. House was perfect in every way. So much space and really well decorated and appointed. Everything was provided down to some grocery basics on our arrival.

The place for a peaceful heart.

We have rented innumerable VRBO properties, and none of them beat this for the quality of the accommodations, the location and majegtic views, and the convenience of local services and activities. Situated within sight of the North Atlantic and just steps from the northern end of the Clliffs of Moher, a short drive to butchers, bakers, and . . . well, no candlestick makers, but all the shops one could possibly need, Castle View House is off the charts. The only issue we had was leaving as it truly felt like home. This is the perfect respite in a troubled world.

Wonderful stay in Doolin

We spent four nights with 3 kids ranging 5-11. Everyone had a blast. The house was clean and updated with all the modern amenities while keeping the feel of an historical farm house. Being able to walk to the pubs, pitch and putt, the ferry and ice cream shop were a plus. We would highly recommend the castle house.
