“This lovely hotel, in the tiny, unpretentious village of Drake Bay, was wonderful. I am an amateur wildlife photographer. The manager gave me Room 1, with an enormous window that looks out onto a guarumo tree. In this tree arrived, in turn, a toucan, a pair of aracaris, tanagers, tityrus, caracaras, golden-naped woodpeckers, multiple iguanas, hummingbirds - it was simply incredible. I took the best pictures I've ever taken. The pool and the bar are nice, and everyone is friendly. Just one……

“Luxury in the heart of nature. Botanika is a beautiful Hilton Curio property located opposite the airport (not a problem) on the edge of a lovely piece of jungle property on the edge of the bay. To be clear the bay is a bit of a walk from the property but there are nature walking trails. Pros: Modern, clean rooms; thoughtful staff & housekeeping); excellent restaurant and bar at pool; and a fantastic pool/Jacuzzi they have bulk sunscreen (great idea). “Its own little oasis by the beach. Quiet, lovely setting with wooded paths between buildings. Food was great and staff was fabulous. Highly recommend staying here form more than just a night or two ”
