"Bill and Paula and the whole community were amazingly kind. This was a rustic and genuine experience to be immersed into a warm Fijian community. We should have realized some of the limitations that we would face, (no a/c, limited power supply, steep steps to the main house for meals, etc) traveling with my elderly mother before we booked this, but everyone was kind, thoughtful and welcoming. "Stayed in a treehouse, deck was larger than I expected. Did not read carefully before booking about the mandatory food package, makes senses due to location, but food package was over priced for what you get. Cocktails 22-26fjd per drink, beer 11-12.50 fjd. Snorkeling was good. Would consider returning if meal package was cheaper, likely would not stay for more than 2-3 days."

"We stayed at Imeris for 6 nights with our 2-year-old son, and had a really special experience. The family and community were incredibly warm and welcoming, and our little boy was absolutely adored the whole time. Just a heads up, if you’re travelling with a baby, be prepared for a lot of love, including the occasional kiss from strangers The home-cooked food was a highlight, with fresh fish served most days.For the first few nights, we had the homestay to ourselves, which felt really personal and gave us a beautiful glimpse into local life. As the week went on, more guests arrived and it gradually shifted into more of a social, backpacker-style environment, with around a dozen other international travellers, mostly from Europe. Good to check in if that’s not the vibe you’re after. We also got upgraded to a lovely house on the hill, which gave us added privacy for the family! All in all awesome stay. Thanks so much"

"What an experience. Bill and Paula and their extended family were so kind, and really made us feel welcome in their family and their village of Yamata. The accommodations were clean, the food was excellent, and Bill was great with communication leading up to our visit. Snorkeling with sharks is not to be missed, and same with the low tide beach that is walkable (between Wayasewa and Wayalevu). Read all the other reviews so you know how to prepare, and you will have an unforgettable experience. Our family won't forget our time at this homestay."

"This lodge is not up front about letting you know there is a hefty mandatory per day food charge. I booked through Expedia expecting just lodging but found out after booking my room and the ferry to take me there that there is a non negotiable $20 tender fee and $80.00 op per night food charge. There is nothing on the Expedia site about this and Expedia was not helpful. Unfortunately I booked 2 days prior to arrival and had a non refundable return ticket via the ferry so could not change. There is limited power, no eSIM data and no wifi so I had to keep the booking. Like other island resorts they really need to state up front, before you book, the full cost of staying there. This is an all inclusive not just a room booking as you are lead to believe in Expedia. Expedia is aware an to date has not updated their site. Just be aware the cost is a lot more than advertised. "
