“Hotel is in good shape. Some rooms are small, but I guess that is part of the micro thing, I didn't get it until I walked into a very small room with small bed. I did not care though I was only staying for the night and from what I understand larger rooms are available. Great Breakfast included, very clean.”

“The fourth floor room facing the hill behind the hotel was comfortable. The common area on that floor facing the river was very nice. It is convenient to downtown venues with everything a walkable distance from the hotel. ”

“We liked that the property was very nice - charming, rustic, nicely furnished and decorated; I liked the stairs down the hill, liked the hot tub, the television was nice. . . . The bed was not the best - could have been a firmer mattress. Please, get some pull-down, dark shades OR curtains that close across all the way. The light that shone into the room kept me awake a good part of the night. The hand towels were pretty worn - they did not absorb very well - one use and they were still……

“A weekend in McGregor IA to attend a family funeral. Our hosts were amazing from the time we booked till we left to check in w/us on our accommodations. The property is a beautiful home w/ all new amenities plus dog friendly. We had access to a full backyard for our dog plus able to grill out & sit on a private balcony to enjoy meals & overlook downtown McGregor! We highly recommend this property. Super clean & has everything you need to feel like you are @ home. Thank you to our hosts. A true……

“The location was perfect for us. The size perfect as well. The hodt brought his new baby horse to show us. Baby was 30 days old! So precious!”

“Very nice cabin. Clean and well stocked. Pictures are spot on. The beds are comfortable and lots of pillows. Loved the decor and over all feel of the place. I would recommend to anyone to stay here. Con: very close to the highway and the train tracks. Did not bother me but just be aware. The trains at night were loud but I turned a fan on the second night and slept fine.”

“We originally thought we were renting the entire cabin but quickly realized we were renting just half of the cabin upon arriving. I will read future VRBO descriptions much more carefully next time. My mistake! It was a very nice cabin next to a train and road in the middle of God's country (WI). We drove alot and took looks around. It was a great time!! Thank you!! Theresa and Bob”

“Many listings can seem to over-sell the condition of the property, or the scope of other benefits the property offers to people staying there. Neither of these things happened for me and my wife during our stay here. I believe the description was undersold in the listing, since the property more than exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean, and neat. All listed amenities were present, and those that we accessed were 100% useful. Definitely recommend this location to anyone considering a stay……

“Incredible property. Super clean, beautifully decorated, many thoughtful extras provided for guests. Very comfortable furnishings and temperature. Very nice sleeping arrangements with private bedrooms. Great communication with host from beginning to end. Our host gave us site seeing, restaurant and shopping tips which were excellent choices. We had a fun weekend. I would definitely recommend this property.”
