Magnificent Newly-built Villa in Mlini with Private Pool and Near Beaches

Villa Magnolia is an exceptionally high quality villa in Mlini, completed in 2011 and located a short walking distance from the Adriatic beaches. The villa is very spacious with over 450sqm of living accommodation, incorporating 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (3 of them en-suite) and is designed to cater for a party of 8-10 guests. It has parking for two or more cars.

Each of the living room the master bedroom and the second bedroom lead onto their own very spacious covered terraces which overlook the Adriatic. With the benefit of the BBQ, they are brilliant places to relax and chill out. The kitchen is very large and is fully equipped. All the bathrooms are fully tiled with high quality fixtures and fittings as befits the overall property.

The villa has its own heated pool and pool shower and is surrounded by recently stocked gardens.

The villa also has air-conditioning in all rooms, underfloor heating (and solar heating), telephone, cable TV and internet connection.

Our family of 9 enjoyed a week staying here. The property is lovely, with 4 bedrooms (3 ensuite) on the lower floor and a wonderful open aspect lounge, diner, and well equipped kitchen upstairs, with incredible terraces both upstairs and off 2 of the bedrooms. Not to mention a fantastic pool. The views were just stunning and we were very comfortable. Mlini is a good base for Dubrovnik (go on a day with no cruise ships) and you can catch a water taxi there or book boat tours from Mlini harbour. Just note that all along this part of the coast it's a steep walk down to the water from the main road (and this place is just above the road) with little to no parking at the waterline. There are beaches dotted along the coast with incredibly clear waters for snorkelling (we found Plaza Veliki zal which has a road ramp to parking right next to the beach and eatery about 35 minutes north). The supermarket is minutes away and we enjoyed dinner at the Flamingo just at the bottom of the drive, if you need a place close by. Check in and out was a breeze and the host was very responsive to queries. I'd recommend checking with them about the bedroom set up for your particular group configuration when you book.

A dream holiday

The villa and location were everything we needed in a holiday. The villa had 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 with ensuite, which was ideal for our party of 5. The two large terraces meant we could enjoy the views of the coastline, which were magnificent. The pool was imma ulate, and bigger than it looked on the picture. Charles (host) responded to any questions I had straight away which made everything go smoothly, even letting us into the property earlier than anticipated. Mila, who met us at the property, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Mlini is beautiful, along with Srobreno, around the corner, which has plenty of water sports for the whole family. The steps to the beachfront were fine on the way down but in 30 degree heat can be a bit of a test on the way back up. We walked to the end of Srobreno most days were you can get taxis quite easily, especially if you download the Uber App. It was an excellent holiday, we will definitely return. Exceptional Summer Stay with Fantastic Hosts and Beautiful Beach Access

I had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful house in Mlini for my summer vacation with my family of 10 and it was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the welcoming host, Mila, who was amazing. Her friendly demeanor and accommodating nature made us feel right at home. The property manager, Charles, was equally impressive. He was quick to respond to all our requests and ensured that our stay was as comfortable as possible. His efficiency and attentiveness were much appreciated. The house itself was stunning and very spacious. Each room was air-conditioned, which was a blessing during the hot summer days. We also loved the amazing pool on the property, which we used to cool down at the end of each day. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax. The location of the property was fantastic, with the beach nearby. While the access via super steep stairs was a bit challenging, there was also a more convenient access point via the road. Both options allowed us to enjoy the beautiful beach with ease.The local dining scene did not disappoint. All the restaurants in the area served delicious food. However, it's worth noting that the drinks, particularly the water, were on the pricey side. Transportation to Old Town was straightforward, with Uber costing about €14 for four people or €23 for six people. This made exploring the historic area convenient and affordable for our group. Overall, my stay was exceptional. Thanks

Wonderful

We had a fabulous 10 Day stay at this beautiful spacious villa. The owner Charles was so helpful throughout our booking & stay. Mila the lady who looks after the villa in Mlini was delightful bringing us homemade cake, bakery bread & veggies from her garden. The villa was spotlessly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing terrace with views out to sea. The pool was lovely. The villa was extremely well equipped. Mlini has a delightful sea front & we enjoyed swimming in the sea & got used to the walk back up to the villa. We had a nice dinner out at Flamingo restaurant near to the villa but enjoyed eating on the wonderful terrace mostly. We went to the local bakery for fresh bread & chocolate croissants daily. There is a Lidl not too far away for the rest of the shopping. Delightful trip to Dubrovnik- Uber there early morning €13 for 4 of us & the little ferry boat home €10 each but so lovely to leave Dubrovnik by boat & look back. Also enjoyed a day in lovely Cavtat nearby. A relaxing & enjoyable holiday in an outstanding villa. Thank you .

An absolutely lovely holiday!

We picked Villa Magnolia in a great rush as the villa we thought we'd booked in Brac was not ours at all. Charles, the owner of Villa Magnolia, was extremely helpful in helping us solve our panic situation as we booked with him with just 3 weeks to go before our arrival. Villa Magnolia is in the small town of Mlini, just a 20 minute drive south from the UN World Heritage Site of Dubrovnik. As many others have said, the photos here do not do the villa justice! Our group response on entering the house was gasps of wonder and joy - the house is huge, with much needed air conditioning maintaining a delightful coolness in every room (it was HOT while we were there!) The rooms are all spacious and comfortable with 2 en suite bathrooms and a 3rd general use bathroom. I suggest bringing a laptop or Chromecast to access Netflix etc on the house TV. The fridge is huge, the kitchen well equipped. The views from the balcony (there's two to choose from!) are fantastic and we spent many hours simply sitting there drinking it all in. Now, there is one small issue - well, more like one hundred of them actually - and that's the steps to the beaches and seafront. This is in no way a fault of the owner's, naturally, but if you're not fit and steady on your feet, this villa may not be for you. Everything is within a 15 minute walk, but those 15 minutes on the way home are a very sweaty effort! Local restaurants are welcoming and serve very reasonably priced food, both for lunches and dinner. The sea is crystal clear and full of fish so snorkelling is very much a feature. We'd happily stay here again! Well done to Charles for creating such a fantastic place to stay!

Villa Magnolia (July2022)

We have just returned from Villa Magnolia a beautiful villa on the hillside of Mlini. It was a family holiday for 10, 6 adults and 4 children aged 6 – 12. Everyone agreed it had been a super holiday in a super villa. The villa is spacious and airy and finished to a high specification. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size, the furnishings are all good quality. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. Although it accommodated all of us, it would be most comfortable for 8. The balcony offered a stunning view of the bay and to the right, the bombed hotel at Kupari beach (a nice beach just past Srebeno). The pool is in a great location for relaxing in the sun and was in constant use. The children couldn’t wait to get into it and loved it. There were umbrellas, sun loungers and cushions for the adults. Mlini is a lovely little resort with enough restaurants in walking distance so as not to need a car. The driveway is steep and there are around 200+ steps to the beach and harbour. There is a bakery and minimarket nearby and a bigger supermarket further on in the Srebreno shopping centre. We used Uber to return to the villa from the supermarket (shopping for 10!). Crossing the road could be difficult as there are only 2 pedestrian crossings. We used the Flamingo restaurant just below the villa, good food and very reasonable. Another nice restaurant was Kogo by the traffic lights at Srebreno. Afterwards we walked down to the promenade to make our way home. Once home we were treated to a beautiful firework display following a water polo match at the end of the bay. For a day out in Dubrovnik we took the boat (100 Kunas round trip) from the harbour. Alternatively the bus takes around 10 mins (18 Kunas). Charles is a delight to correspond with, very responsive with a lovely sense of humour. He was very understanding and supportive when we had to change our dates due to covid restrictions. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time in Villa very spacious, beautiful views from Terrace. Lovely clean pool to relax. The Villa had everything we needed. Vic and his Mother were available to help and very attentive to our needs. Mother brought us tomatoes and cakes. which were very nice thank you. Charles also helped with all our anxieties booking in covid times . Would highly recommend.

Great Stay in the Dubrovnik area

We very much enjoyed our stay in this Mlini property. The views from the deck are fantastic and it is an easy walk to get down to the beaches and various restaurants. Its also very simple to either drive, or take a water ferry to Dubrovnik. This was the first VRBO/Airbnb I've stayed in where the pictures did not do the place justice. We all walked in happily surprised, especially the kids. The local host, Eci, was great with check-in and to help us with a few issues that we encountered. I would gladly stay there again, in fact I'd go further and say I'd love to stay there again.

Luxury Living in Croatia

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the amazing stay that we had in Villa Magnolia. We had a group of eight that included my husband, parents, sister and brother-in-law along with our two adult daughters. There was enough room for everybody to have their own space and privacy if needed while offering ample gathering space to enjoy our time together. The view from the veranda overlooking the sea is simply amazing and the pool offered a refreshing place to cool off and lounge after sightseeing and visiting the highlights of the surrounding area. The villa definitely provided all of the comforts of home along with luxurious decor which added a special feel to our vacation. Charles was very responsive as we planned our trip and Eci, who greeted us at the villa was very friendly and helpful as we checked in and began our adventure in Croatia. I would definitely recommend Villa Magnolia to friends and family and would love to return again someday. I also would highly recommend Deck and Cheers for an amazing private boat tour of the surrounding islands at a reasonable rate. They can be found at boatdubrovnik.com Tony is very attentive to all of his guests and provides awesome tours with a personal touch. This tour was definitely a highlight of our visit to the beautiful coast of Croatia.

Beautiful, spacious, clean and nicely located Villa. The hostess was very polite, friendly and helpful. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay here very much. If you have trouble with stairs, do not stay here. Good access to beaches and the town of Mlini and others near by. Nice swimming pool. The villa has all the amenities you need. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Villa in Wonderful Location

We have not long returned (reluctantly) from a fab holiday in Villa Magnolia and as one of the other reviewers have already said....the photos really do not do it justice, especially the bedrooms. We were two families (4 adults and 5 children aged from 11 to 17). The villa was extremely spacious, light and airy and the balcony off the living room and kitchen a perfect spot for an early morning cuppa before heading off down the 200 odd steps (:-)) for an early morning swim. The view from the balconies are stunning. We elected not to hire a car and actually found that everything we needed was in fairly easy reach, if you are reasonably fit and like walking (but don't underestimate the steep driveway to the villa followed by the steps :-)). There was a lovely bakery just down the road and a minimarket a bit further along. For a bigger shop we even walked to and from the supermarket in the shopping centre in Srebreno, but there were buses just down from the villa that stopped near the supermarket or walking along the seafront via a bar was a pleasant alternative to the road and sparse pavements! The pool was lovely and particularly welcome during Heatwave Lucifer!! The villa was well-placed to catch the boats/buses to Cavtat and Dubrovnik. We can highly recommend the Elaphite Island/Fish picnic trip and the Dads and some of the children hired Kayaks and went on a trip around the nearby coast which was a highlight of the holiday. Mlini and Srebreno provided us with all we needed on our doorstep. Charles was extremely helpful and very flexible throughout and Eci was on hand if we needed anything while we were out there (the air conditioning was a little idiosyncratic but very efficient when working, although the smaller double bedroom did get very hot as it was more exposed to direct sunlight. We can highly recommend Villa Magnolia. Thanks Charles for providing such a lovely holiday home.

Fantastic Villa

Great villa finished to a high specification. Location was perfect for a walk down the hill to get a boat to all the nearby villages and Dubrovnik. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, with Flamingo being 100 yards away and a great place to eat. There was no DVD player as advertised but not too much of an issue. Would highly recommend the villa as a base to explore the Dubrovnik area.

May Stay

My daughter and family stayed in the villa while exploring Dubrovnik and the area. My wife and I had planned to be there but couldn't due to family circumstances. She and family enjoyed the spacious and lovely home. I had picked the place because of the heated pool, location, and price. Unfortunately the pool heating wasn't functional but my daughter didn't complain as the weather was quite cool and they were busy during their time in Croatia. The owner was very accommodating in the follow-up discussions and said the pool could have been fixed if it was mentioned by my daughter.

A very spacious villa in an excellent location.

Great alfresco dining on the covered terrace offering lovely views, very good BBQ and lovely pool area. We enjoyed walking down the many steps to the beach and harbour where we caught the boat to Dubrovnic. A very good restaurant down there offering excellent meals. The only downside due to the design of the villa was the ensuite's were a little dark due to not having windows. Otherwise a fantastic villa. Eci was very attentive when we had any problems. Charles Hayes, the owner was very helpful prior to us going out there.
