“No spa. Breakfast basic ”

“A must go midway place if you travel from Londonderry to Dublin (or vice versa). Reasonable price & good food in the bar & restaurant. If you drive there, your car can be parked next to your room, extremely convenient. ”

“The location’s proximity to Newgrange was great, and parking at the hotel was very convenient. We had dinner at the pub, food was good. I wish there was breakfast included, but there was a small coffee shop close by, and a convenience store very close with coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and plenty of options. The room itself was clean and appeared freshly renovated, but there were no luggage racks and nowhere to place our toiletries on the pedestal sink. A shelf above or near the sink would……

“This accommodation is set amongst the beautiful countryside so you wake up to outstanding views, peace and quiet. The proprietor is warm and friendly...very helpful and makes a fantastic breakfast. We used it as a base to explore the local area. It is ideal for that. Those with limited mobility can be accommodated on the ground floor, however, please note, it is not fully wheelchair accessible. Our only downside was the patchy WiFi signal, but based on the location, this was unavoidable. Thank……

“We had a few issues with the room- no hot water in the morning, unable to turn off one of bedside lights other than by taking out the bulb, faulty coffee machine. However what was much more important to us was the prompt and efficient way in which the manager dealt with our problems. Five stars for that!”

“The Edwardian experience like no other! Excellent breakfast, cooked for you from the menu. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room and hospitality tray. Room needed re wall papering and the shower was just warm enough but the water from the basin tap was very hot. Petrol station across the road with shop. Great pub across the road and walking distance to town. ”

“Disabled parking dreadful. Bacon at breakfast awful ,Met three lively young staff, the rest ??? Met two really nice young bar guys , the rest ??? Lucky not to have a golf ball through our car window. All in all very disappointed. ”

“The Main level of the hotel is kept beautifully. Bedrooms were ok. Bathrooms need fixing up. . Beds comfortable. There was no shampoo is bathroom and the carpet needed vacuuming. Breakfast was solid. Bedrooms felt just a bit shabby.”
