「The cabin is quaint and designed like a tiny house. There was a queen bed in the loft. The stairs to the loft were actual stairs. It was easy to climb up. The ceiling was high in the miiddle so we could stand. The bathroom had a good shower without walls. So plenty of room. I think it would be beautiful in the fall. Cicadas were singing and flying around. We had a good time. We would recommend it to others.」

「A lovely place to stay close to Garden of the Gods National Forest and more. My group stayed for a short trip over Memorial Day Weekend and wish we stayed longer. The place is very spacious, has plenty of bedrooms for small and larger groups, and has great updated amenities inside and in the backyard to enjoy. Highly recommend. 「The cabin was great. It was clean, comfortable, and worked great for our needs. The drop down ladder/stairs to the loft were not an issue for our group. The kitchen had just what we needed to make breakfast and dinner. We basically only slept there because we explored all day. We did bbq and have a fire at night.」

「Minutes from Garden of the Gods and River to River Trail. Temps too hot so we tried to be on trail by 7:30. On dead end road but noisy compared where we live (not bad). Great wildflowers and birds. Loved having a full kitchen. My husband in hot every day.」

「This is is the cutest most comfortable and luxurious "tiny house" ive ever seen! The hosts communicated quickly and effectively. The accommodations were better than we expected. Everything was just right. My ONLY regret is that i didnt research times local businesses were open prior to our stop. Travel took longer than expected (we are in the process of moving and had a trailer along so we were too long for the ferry and had to go around). Be smarter than we were and plan accordingly 😉」

「A true log cabin with air conditioning and a kitchen. The only issue I had was the lack of a sink in the bathroom. Because the original cabin was very old, it had dropped in one corner so the floor was sloped which was a little disorienting. Despite being pet friendly, It was pretty clean and the location in Shawnee National Forest was ideal for hiking.」

「The property was great and Vickey was very responsive to any questions we had. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the lake, playing on the lily pad, and using cicadas as bait for fishing. House was comfortable and well stocked. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this property!」

「We stayed at this cabin for the April 2024 solar eclipse. Don and Kate were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to use their fire pit and yard. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. It’s in a great location on a hill overlooking Lake of Egypt and a quick drive into Marion, IL.」
