Nice clean room, in great location. Mostly staff were helpful apart from the time I waited five minutes to be served and the waitress then served the lady who just came in and totally ignored me. Food was excellent value for money. Overall a good visit and would definitely go back.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was very nice. The room was quite clean, but it was very tired and felt grubby. Walls definitely need repainting as there were stains everywhere which made it feel dirty. Again, the staff were all lovely. Aircon worked and it was quiet at night.

All resident showed be given the 20% discount regardless of booking arrangements as we only used the restaurant and bar on the first night we were staying 2 nights and we disagreed with your policy of not giving all residents the discount. This cost your company at least at least £150 pounds as we ate and drunk else where where normally eat and drink in the place we are staying.

Minor inconvenience havingvto check in ag restaurant before walking round to hotel, but more than compensated for by extremely friendly welcome. Room was basic but comfortable. Location very handy for local amenities and onward travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Our stay at the Chain Runner Inn was overall pleasant, with some positives and a few areas that could be improved. The location was convenient, especially because it’s close to a train station and has easy access to bus stops. However, since we relied on public transportation to get around, the bus fares ended up adding quite a bit to our overall travel expenses. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was not quite up to the standard we had hoped for. The air conditioning also kept shutting off during our stay, although thankfully the weather was nice enough that it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, the location and friendly staff were definitely highlights, but we feel the room cleanliness and air conditioning could use some improvement. Make the tone more balanced
