Host were warm, friendly, and very insightful on the surrounding areas. The amenities were more than adequate for us, being a family of four.As for a nice relaxing getaway trip, my wife and I couldn't of asked for anything better. We will be doing this trip again sometime in the near future. The property is well maintained and cleaned.

Me n my family had an amazing time by the fire with smores. We were welcome by a beautiful Christmas tree n decorations the property was great as always, this was my 2nd time staying there. Me and my family really enjoyed some quiet time on the floating dock fishing. Host commuicated consistently. So grateful for amazing hosts. They made sure our stay welcoming. We will be back again. Thank u so much for letting us enjoy such beautiful scenery.

It was a very rustic getaway. Very private and tranquil. Clean rooms. Host was so nice and helpful. Pet friendly. Only issue was the well water smell. We're not used to that. But overall stay was amazing.

The property is old, but comfortable. The owners were pleasant. There is a mold issue in the room with French doors, but the owners were made aware. Would visit again.

Cape Fear Getaway

We had a very nice time at the cabin! Large and plenty of room! The stairs were good exercise for our ol' bodies! The area was a beautiful location! Very peaceful! We enjoyed sitting down by the river and watching the occasional boats that would go by! We visited the wineries, and walked through the quaint town of Elizabethtown. A must lunch or dinner out is the San Jose Mexican restaurant!

Wonderful cabin to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The outdoor space was beautiful and the perfect place to relax, BBQ and play some horseshoes or cornhole. Our son also enjoyed fishing off the dock. We will definitely be visiting again!

Ball Family Hunting Trip

The RivaGeyAway was a great place to stay for our family hunting trip in the Bladen County area. It was comfortable for the 7 of us and our two dogs. The river is right out the back door and the setting is very quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was a hit with the younger of our crowd. It was a bit chilly at night outside so we didn’t use the outdoor lounge spaces as much but there are plenty there to use. Cabin was clean and spacious. Dale and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. Definetly recommend for anyone looking to get away to the woods !!

Nice quiet Getaway

My daughter , son-in-law, and my adult son stayed with me. Pets are allowed, with understandable restrictions. There's an enormous amount of deck space. This not only allows your pet/s to run and play without worrying about them running to the neighbors, but also lends to a variety of seating on each level for the humans too. Linens and hot tub are upcharges. The owner is very responsive and kind, if you need anything. There's a charcoal and gas grill. If you are kitchen people, the bakeware is limited. However the local Dollar Store has inexpensive aluminum alternatives. We also had to purchase hangers. If you're a tv watcher, you're set! Chuckle They have every streaming option possible. If you have knee or hip issues, there are stairs. But i think the most steps at a time was 11 or 12. If you're bringing children, i would recommend one baby gate to block off the stairs down to the river. There are two wineries close by. LuMill within a few minutes. Definitely check out there jelly, jam, and preserves options! Yummy. The cabin feels very private and woodsy, but its literally a few minutes into town. This was our third visit to the cabin and we love staying here!! Oh, youll want to purchase drinking water or bring a filter pitcher. We drink tons of water, so a pitcher is the most economical. We stayed for a week. The cabin and location is lovely.The owners are very responsive and kind. Its ALWAYS clean. Its a wonderful spot! Go

Cozy, Comfortable and Clean. Our 2 week stay was wonderful. We were able to relax and unplug from our crazy, fast-paced city living. Dale and Chio are the best hosts. We will be back, maybe for a ?month? 😀

Peaceful Weekend Away

Our stay on Cape Fear River was everything we needed. Serene river views, plenty of outdoor activities and all the solitude we needed for a peaceful weekend away from the city. While the home is rustic yet charming, the real stars of the show are the decks, patios, gazebo and floating dock. We spent so much time outside and enjoyed every minute!

Our stay was very nice. We didn’t however have any kitchen towels or dishcloths or any hand towels for the bathrooms. We were supposed to clean before we left but found no cleaning supplies. I cleaned the best I could with paper towels and hot water.

All the men in the family husband, sons grandsons had a men’s vacation.. unfortunately, they didn’t catch any fish due to the hurricane and flooding, but they had a great time bonding.. My husband and I have stayed in the small cabin. My son loved it and said they were definitely go back!! The owner is awesome and very kind and informant
