Weekend ski trip

Hello, my friends and I stayed at this property for a weekend ski trip. When we arrived at the property we found a dead bird on the floor in the downstairs king bedroom. I’m not sure how a dead bird can be laying on the floor unseen but we had to dispose of it ourselves. The heating in the house also did not work with the thermostat being locked downstairs therefore we were freezing and very uncomfortable during our stay. We hope you can provide a better stay for the next group of people.

Comfortable Vacation House

The house was just as advertised and just as you see in the pictures. Beds were comfortable. I would advise that future guests plot out a turn-by-turn directions prior to their travel, as the GPS in that area is not accurate and cell service is "spotty". The property is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the deer in the morning and evening.

Quite Hideaway

This was a good stay just a short distance to groceries. Google directions were a little incomplete, but the place was findable. We enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak on property, life vests were provided. Deer came within 5 feet of the theatre room glass doors. It was pretty neat. The kitchen felt a little bare, but we were able to make do with what was provided. After many guests, things were scattered into various cabinets and drawers which took a bit to search through. Our family enjoyed the soft beds and comfy pillows.

Family getaway

We had a wonderful time. The home was beautiful and provided all our needs. The pond was fun for fishing and had a dock with a peddle boat. Two mornings we were visited by a mother deer and her two fawns. It was a great venue.

Cabin was dirty

Sheets were not changed from previous guest. Floors were filthy a smooshed french fry was in hallway bathroom floor. House was decorated like a prison or solitary confinement. No nice homey touches little to NO furniture in bedrooms. Bathrooms showers had NOT been cleaned from previous guests. Kitchen had NO cooking utensils no mixing bowls no cookie sheets no trash bags no dishwasher tablets.. we were left 1 roll of toilet paper for 9 people. This cabin was the worst I have stayed in. I have ALOT MORE to complain about but I am sure comments are getting deleted. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE ITS A RIP OFF.

Beautiful place to get away!

We were so pleased with our stay at the upper house! The house was sparklingly clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. My little ones loved the yard, pond and paddle boat, my teenagers loved that they had their own space and we all loved the hot tub! It was peaceful and quiet-- we hiked around the property a bit and took walks by the creek. We had a few questions for Carolina rentals and they were responsive and very helpful. I've *already* recommend this place to friends and I would love to vacation there again! So great!!!

We enjoyed every part of the house but my son who loves to cook was absolutely in love with the kitchen. He prepared elaborate meals for us with all the great appliances. We enjoyed each room but probably enjoyed that great couch in front of the fireplace. The only thing that we couldn't figure out was where to put the trash so we had to leave it bagged by the kitchen door, sorry.

The house and property are beautiful. We had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed ourselves. My 4 year old son haA found a true love for fishing thanks to the pond and loves the paddle boat. When the barn was not in use both our son and 2 year old daughter took advantage of the playground and basketball courts. They were also fabulous. We did not give the property 5 stars as we had a few water issues. The well pump Started out by not being on and thus we did not have water pressure. Once it was on it was extremely loud and created a lot of heat in the room. It then flooded the bedroom downstairs, both downstairs bathtubs do not drain water and the master bedroom has a leak from the roof when it rains. Besides the water issues we had a fabulous time and would recommend this property to others in the future. Thank you.

Amazing Weekend

As the summer closed we really wanted to get together with our whole family. We decided to meet in NC. This was the perfect setup. We rented both the Barn and the Upper House, the grounds are amazing, the location is perfect, so close to so many attractions, but far enough out that you have all of the privacy you could ask for. Some days we never left the property, between the hiking trail and the paddle boat, our kids were happing just staying a the Red Barn. We will be back. One other note, the upper house has an amazing kitchen, so if you are food people like us, you have everything you need to create five star gorment meals.

Beautiful home! We had a wonderful time. The only complaint I have is that for the theater room, the smart tv needs to be updated and they should have a DVD player for the theater room. Overall, we had a good time and the home was very spacious and beautiful. We will definitely will be booking again.
