We had a wonderful time at the guest house. The business seemed family run and was warm and welcoming. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic. They had on site scooter rental which was very convenient to help us get around. The views were just stunning.

Pleasant stay
My partner and I stayed at Paraiso for two nights. On arrival, our host greeted us with hot tea and bananas. The rooms did not have air conditioning, but a fan which cooled the room satisfactorily. Bathroom was also clean. There is a lookout point upstairs which had beautiful views of the hills. Our host even accommodated us for a late breakfast after we came back from our hike. Breakfast was lovely with Sri lankan dishes and fresh fruit. Getting to the town was easy via the train tracks below and was only 10-15 min walk. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return. Whilst the rooms were adequate, it was the niceness and accommodating nature of the host that was most appreciated. They were always helpful with a smile

Three days in Ella
My wife and I stayed here for three nights and we’re very happy with the hotel and location. We had a beautiful view across the valley of little Adams Peak, Ella rock, and a waterfall as well. From the hotel you could either take a tuk-tuk to town or walk down the rail road and be in town within 15 minutes. The owner was very kind and helped us with hiking routes and transportation.

The view from the balcony was stunningly beautiful. The host family were very gracious and helpfully in finding ones way around the area. And the breakfasts! Stupendous. Room was also very nice and comfortable.

Parisian Guest House was absolutely gorgeous with stunning views! The staff was incredible, kind, and helpful. The location is perfect (your driver can make it down the hill), but quite a short walk into town! I miss this place already!

great place to stay in Ella
Had an excellent stay here and would definitely book this place again! The standard is what to expect, but it was clean and it was a great service from we arrived until we left! Amazing views from the big Terrasse outside the rooms.

Acceptable stay in Ella
This was a strange place. For a start, the building looked half-finished. We didn’t really have a host - there seemed to be multiple people looking after the property, although all were perfectly friendly and accommodative (for example in making us a packed breakfast when we were up early to go hiking). The room, like many guest houses in Sri Lanka, was functional rather than comfortable. This one was spacious with a balcony, with an average bed/mattress and a good en suite bathroom. The view, as many others have commented, is fantastic but given that Ella is in a mountain valley, you don’t need to work too hard to find a view that’s just as good. In terms of cost it was probably a touch above average and given that the stay felt average or slightly below average, I’d say we could have done better.

Ok but noisy
The room was ok, the homestay was under construction. The hosts were nice and helpful. The problem was that the place is right beside a temple and the pray at 5:30am and 5:30pm through speakers quite loudly. It is located right beside the train rails and it is noisy when it goes through.

Dear sir and madam thank you for your comment and score. that days we had special buddhist puja in our temple that's why they prayed. normally last train running around 7.30pm and after no train running until to next day morning. One train ran in late night due to another train broke down in your stayed night ( you came train was broke down )

Litet mysigt hotell med bara 3 rum, en natt var jag ensam på hotellet. Frukosten var som utsikten fantastisk. Ägaren hjälpte till med tips och kartor till de olika sevärdheterna. Nära till staden.

Great place!
Excellent stay at Paraiso Guest House! The inn keeper is super friendly and professional! We were on our honeymoon for two nights there and everything went superbly. He even decorated the bed with flower petals and balloons for us ❤️ We were offered water, cookies and bananas as we arrived later in evening time. Breakfast was very good too. And everything we asked for, we got with a smile on top. The view is mesmerizing, looking down to the valley, Ella rock and Kithalella waterfall. I warmly recommend this place!

Great Hospitality
We stayed one night at Paraiso and had a great time. The owner and his family was very attentive and made sure our plans in Ella worked out. Furthermore he helped us with good transportation to our next destination for a good price. The guest house is a 10 minute walk from town via the railway shortcut. This was nice as it is more peaceful and quiet. The view is great, the room was nice and clean. They are expanding the balcony currently and it is not complete at this time (sep 2019) but that did not at all disturb the great view. Also good breakfast!

Dette gjestehuset ligger med fantastisk utsikt utover Ella. Du har utsikt til Little Adam's Peak, Ella Rock og det er bare helt magisk å våkne til denne utsikten. Det er heller ikke langt herfra til Nine Arch Bridge(ca.30 min gange langs togskinnene). Rommene er helt greie, og verten leverer utsøkt service. Han bistår med hva det skulle være og leverer en helt fantastisk super, tradisjonell frokost hver morgen. Helt herlig! Dette stedet kan virkelig anbefales.

Great view close to town
Positives: Great view, very good food, very friendly owner, spacious room, excellent wifi, very walkable to town center, good and inexpensive food and cafes in town. Negatives: not for those with very sensitive sleep, as it is next to an uphill turn of the (not very busy) road and you can hear the tuk tuks and cars early in the morning; also, no blackout curtains, so the light comes in early. The property is under expansion, but it is fair to say that there is no construction noise or dust.

Happiness in the hills
Very friendly owner. We were welcomed with tea, biscuits and fruit on our balcony with fantastic views of the hills. Breakfast was delicious home cooked coconut rotis, dahl, eggs, pancakes and fruit.

Marvellous view of Ella Gap!
Stayed for two nights at this kind guest house. The host was very low-key and agreable (as Sinhalese people in general) and served us the most delicious home-cooked rice curry and really nice breakfast! He also kindly arranged packed warm sandwiches for breakfast on our very early excursion to Lipton Seat! Excellent view over Ella Gap and Little Adam’s Peak. Room was very big and clean. Ask for a blanket for the chilly Ella nights and you will be fine! We walked around 1 km to Ella train station on the tracks, which was fun, where our driver picked us up. The track runs just below the guest house and it is really fun to watch the trains pass by!

Take a Tuk Tuk!
Hard to find - my driver not happy about the condition of the steep unmade road there. But owner lovely and kindly organised a Tuk Tuk at his expense for the morning. Walk to restaurants is along railway line - interesting in the dark on way back. Actually fun and lit by fireflies. Building looks half completed because it is, he is expanding. Room very good though and breakfast too. Ella is Ella! Chill is busy, noisey but great place to eat with good service.

God frukost men fuktigt rum.
Dom som hade stället var gulliga men dåliga på att förklara vägen till hotellet. Hotellet ligger högt upp utan en ordentlig gångväg till Ella. Vi fick bittert erfara att rullväskor i princip är omöjligt att ta upp utan tuktuk. Rummet var fräscht men otroligt fuktigt, inga kläder eller handdukar kunde torka. Vårt rum Det enda av tre rum totalt som inte hade balkong vilket inte visas tydligt på bokningsidan. God och stor frukost ingick. Naturskönt läge.

Amazing view, staff, rooms and stay here
Really nice little home stay. Staff were amazing and so so helpful, friendly and kind. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Only slight issue was the shower was lacking pressure but not that bad considering the view from the balcony and the rest of the room. View of Ella's rock and Little Adam's Peak was beautiful. Very close to the train track for a 10 minute walk into Ella town which was cute and different. Nice to be just out of Ella town from the noise. Good location to start hike for Ella's rock. Breakfast was incredible and home cooked by the father each morning, the two nights we were here we had two different types of home cooked Sri Lankan breakfasts which were delicious. Owner even let us borrow his scooter one morning so we could go to Little Adam's Peak early for sunrise before breakfast. Couldn't have asked for any more from this hotel.

We stayed at this home stay in Ella for 2 nights. The most amazing part of this stay is the host who. Goes out of his way to help you. Each morning he would make us an amazing Sri Lankan breakfast at anytime that we requested! We also hired a scooter from him that was very easy and a great way to get around the beautfil city of Ella! The hospitality is want made this place great for us.

Beautiful place with a fabulous view of Ella rock.Our hosts were a very warm family.The authenthic Sri Lankan breakfast made by the lady of the house added to the charm of our stay at Paraisso Ella.The clean,spacious room,wi fi connectivity and bathroom with hot water ensure a comfortable stay.This place is conveniently located, just a 10 minute walk to Ella town and Ella train station and about a 30 minute leisurely walk to the famous Nine Arches Bridge.Very good value for money.Would definately reccomend this place to fellow travellers.
