So, just by looking at this photo how can you tell it is a female giraffe? By the horns, which in this case are covered with hair. The male giraffes will not have hair on their horns due to sparring! Oh, and one more thing… Technically they are not horns, but ossicones.

The beautiful Woodland Kingfisher. This small avian is about the size of a Sparrow. Not entirely sure how iridescent blue feathers work as camouflage in the African trees, but they sure are beautiful to look at!
